Reaching Out is of course NOT a new song. It was a charity song -one of previous Brian/PR collaborations.

Administrator: From what I have been told, speaking to PR's manager - it was co-written by Brian with some one - i am sure I saw a thread on this track a while back...anyone else?
It has been recorded....
Q: So it´s a new QUEEN+Paul Rogers song?
Admin: As far as I can tell - obviously Paul only sang a snippet last night...but yep...

Dear DocMay - come into the hub and download the Top Of The Pop version of Reaching Out with Brian May and Paul Rodgers - from 1996 if I remember correctly. I am sure someone is still sharing it.

Hi,

I think that the "new song" you mentioned was in fact a segment from Van Morrison's "I'll Be Your Lover, Too".

... and here are the complete lyrics.

I have now read a lot of the replies previous to mine but I am so certain that the lyrics Paul Rodgers sang included the last 2 paragraphs of this song.

Van Morrison - I'll Be Your Lover Too Lyrics

I'll be your man. I'll understand
And do my best to take good care of you
Yes I will

You'll be my queen, I'll be your king
And I'll be your lover too
Yes I will

Derry down green Color of my dream
A dream that's daily coming true
I'll tell you

When day is through I will come to you
And tell you of your many charms

And you'll look at me with eyes that see
And melt into each other's arms
And so I come to be the one who's always standing next to you

Reach out for me So I can be the one
who's always reaching out for you
Yes I will, yes I will
You'll be my queen I'll be you king
And I'll be your lover too

You are wrong, musicman, it was Reaching Out. Just download the original as posted above and you'll recognise it.

On Brianmay.com you can find it correct in the Setlist:

1. Reachin Out' (Nordoff Robbins single/Brian collab)

I heard it now for the first time, I like it!

Perhaps they recorded a new Queen version?

Regarding my nomination of Van Morrison's "I'll Be Your Lover Too" as the New Song :- Following responses that led me to the lyric of the New Song I now withdraw my suggestion and agree that it was the Nordoff Robbins song. Sorry folks!

Hate to bump an old topic, but for those of you who have seen the band so far, was this song played over the PA system or was it actually performed?
