Having listened carefully to what Paul Rodgers was singing on the night and then trawling the internet for lyrics when I returned home, I am 99% certain that the opening number at Brixton was a segment from Van Morrison's "I'll Be Your Lover, Too".

Can anyone else confirm or deny this?

Regarding my nomination of Van Morrison's "I'll Be Your Lover Too" as the opening number :- Following responses that led me to the lyric of that number I now withdraw my suggestion and agree that it was the Nordoff Robbins song "Reaching Out". Sorry folks!
