Well I know that we're on a Queen website and that it may be truly out of subject but I have a question : Do you, any of you, know where I can get bootlegs from The Doors ? You know, not really the old Doors because it always sounded the same, but I'm talking about the new Doors. Concerts from 2003, 2004...Do you know that ?

The only connection between The Doors and Queen that I know, is that Robby Krieger played the guitar solo in "We Are The Champions" on the "Dragon Attack : A Tribute To Queen" album so that isn't much ! Lol

Anyway, I'd appreciate an answer, if you know, obviously...

Dan.

a gig from 2003 (or 2004) was recently uploaded on easytree but as they seem to have some problems it is at least temporarly not accessible... i managed to dload it but there's no way i could put it anywhere in the internet 'cos my connection is terribly slow... :( ahh and by the way.. i don't know whether you've heard it or not but there's a live dvd out called "l.a.woman live' or sth like that from 2002 or 2003.. worth having definitely :)

Dont worry, he's always like that.
I think I have a few doors bootlegs, mostly the older ones, I think it used to be .CDR.com or type in that at Google CDR+TRADING you'll find some nice sites.

Well, thank you !

Besides this, do you have MP3s of Astbury singing "The End", "Light My Fire" or "Riders On The Storm" ?

I don't know the setlists at all for the new Doors so I don't even know if they perform "Riders On The Storm" but I guess they do.

you won't find astbury singin' the end because they all decided that it was too personal song for jim and they will not play it with ian... but there are 6 songs from the american 2003 tour on ray manzarek's site...
http://www.raymanzarek.com/BOTAudio.html they are only to listen to not to download but you can easily do it with some kind of wave creator or something.... and the setlists for all d21c gigs is also somewhere there... and here is the adress to my friend's site about d21c... she's quite close with the band and spent the whole tour with them backstage... there's also a message board on her site that i'm running but since it's in polish it's no use to you i think... but well.. all the moderators and some users are studying english so you can write anyway... ;)

I didn't know they didn't play "The End" because I wasn't a big fan of them until a few days ago.

Still, it must be weird to go to a Doors show without hearing "The End" at the end of the concert. Must be like going to a Queen concert with no "We Are The Champions" at the end. I find it so weird when Queen doesn't play "Bohemian Rhapsody" sometimes, like in Amsterdam in 2002 and in Fancourt in 2005. I would give a lot to hear Roger Taylor sing this song. I believe this has never been done, right ?

i don't think they did that.. anytime they performed bo rhap after freddie's death (apart from FM tribute of course) there were other people singin', mainly WWRY cast... never heard of roger singin' it although it could be interesting.. i love his way of singin' in radio gaga (although i don't like the song) and days of our lives not to mention my car which is one of my queen favourites...

I think it is really rare that peopel don't like "Radio Ga Ga" but I guess that happens !

Roger has a great voice. He is nowhere near Freddie Mercury but I think he had a higher voice as shown in "Bohemian Rhapsody" and the galileos. Brian May is great too but I don't know if it's only me but whenever I hear him sing, for exemple on the "Live At The Bowl" DVD, I hardly hear his voice. Roger Taylor, we can hear him pretty well as he has a very powerful voice but Brian, I hardly can hear his voice. For exemple, again, in "Somebody To Love". Every time they sing "Somebody ! Somebody ! Can anybody find me somebody to love ?" I can't hear Brian much.

To go back to that discussion, do you people know songs that Roger has sang live on stage that were sung by Freddie usually besides "Break Free", "Under Pressure", "Days Of Our Lives", "Radio Ga Ga"...I have "We Will Rock You" sung by him but it's not complete at all. In his solo tours, did he ever sing another song and do you people, have it ? I'm talking like, an unusual song...He also sang "Tenement Funster" but that comes as no surprise since he wrote the song. "Bohemian Rhapsody" or "We Are The Champions" would surprise me. Maybe a Brian May song ? Did he ever do that ? Did Roger Taylor ever sing "No One But You" in his solo tours ? Without Brian ?

I saw a discussion about songs Brian sings on stage that were sung by Freddie but I'm not quite sure if a Roger Taylor discussion like this exists. Sorry if that is the case.

I hope someone can answer those questions...

I appreciate Cédric's link. Thanks. Maybe I'll learn a few things about what was released from The Doors and The Doors Of The 21st Century.
