During I Want It All, there where the fast guitar-solo starts, the whole amps went off, so you could only hear Pauls mic and the Drums...! -about 50 sec no sound exept the one mentioned above...
During this, Paul did the handclapping refrain to have the song going on somehow.
After this 50 sec break the sound came one again and they went directly to the end of the song...(exept Roger: he first drumed into the solo again, but Brian was doing the end of the song :( so they ended it).

Sad, as I loved to hear IWIA completely.

Otherwise great show!

Especially All Right Now was very well and "energetic" performed

Well, I have been in Basel yesterday. And I am really impressed. It was a great show and I am looking forward to Frankfurt Show. I have read all the threads in the past, all critics and all the good ones and now I could make myself an opinion.

The intro, which I thought, from reading the other posts, not being good is well chosen. Yes, Queen has a lot of possibilities for starting a show. But this was okay, too. Also, RadioGaga with Roger on vocals to a backing track before starting drumming himself and BoRap with Freddies voice are really great. All Right Now from Paul really rocked the hall... great.

Paul: He knew all lyrics and he was great. I like him (I do not compare him with Freddie, in no way, I see him as an individual..). In the middle section he was not on stage for a longer period. That was good not because of not seeing him, because of Roger and Brian were great in this time. Pauls performance and everything on him was very professional.

Roger: Damn. He is amazing. I have no words for his drumming (I am drumming myself, so I can judge it a little bit). Absolutely powerful, always in time, much variation. The drum solo and after that I`m in love with my car was unbelievable... on vocals he did very fine, too. Never heard "Say it isn`t true" before... fantastic. Radio GaGa and TATDOUL, too.

Brian: Great show, had to fight some trouble with the technic before Hammer To Fall and in I want it all. Very gentle, talked very nice to the audience (on german, too), brilliant on guitar (not a really new point to mention).

Danny: Never have read any posts to the other musicians. I am a little bit sad about that, because they do not want to take sth. away from the Queen Fans, the want to give us their part to the show. I do not like to read if s.o. writes they should play behind the stage.. I did not know Danny before, have never seen him before but I am impressed, too. A great musician, a great bassplayer, good show... the bassguitar seems to be a little too big for him, it looks funny, but he is absolutely in the show.

Jamie: The same as for Danny.. perfect performance. Both, Danny and Jamie, work in the background but you can hear, feel, they are there.

Spike: Cannot say much about a keyboparder. He did his job in the known professional way.

I am looking forward to Frankfurt, not denying my decision to buy two tickets... so, folks, get to the shows and hav a real good time...

So what was the intro? They replaced Track 13 with It's A Beautiful Day? Some new mix or one of the MiH versions or the complete single version?

Intro was a Mix of A Beautiful Day followed by the Eminem Track which worked better than I expected. Then, the curtain was still closed, Paul entered the stage in a white jacket and sung Reaching Out. Then Brian entered the stage in front of the curtain and they started TYMD, Paul threw the white jacket away, the curtain came down and it started...

So it was a new mix of the track, not any of the three known versions (or are there more?).

Are people sure about this Beautiful Day thing? People do realise that Track 13 is heavily based on Beautiful Day, don't they?

What you mean even though Track 13 sounds fuck all like It's A Beautiful Day. It's A Beautiful Day is a great song I think. And perfect for opening the show. Especially open air shows on hot, summer days.

That's not correct. Brian said:

Bri: I'm gonna play an old song now, do you like old songs? Crowd: Yeah! Bri: Old songs from old people ...

Cheers!

Hey Fredo I thought he said 'well you're old people' but it was difficult to hear with so many people shouting.

Were you the one who said 'You're the best thing in our lives Brian', it certainly wasn't me.

When Brian asked if we wanted to hear an old song I just thought - they're all fucking old ones these days!

Cheers

No, he said "Old songs from people". And I didn't shout anything - I'm a quiet Austrian guy, I'm not used to shout ... :)

Btw.: Did anyone notice Brian's slightly mistake during the instrumental-part of Love Of My Life?

Roger Taylor - Wembley 1986

I think the only person who enjoyed his drumsolos was Bonham.. though we will never know

About how long have the Roger solos been lasting at the recent shows? More than a minute long?

I can recall Ian Paice from Deep Purple also enjoying his drum solos... also Mike Portnoy from Dream Theater. He plays the drums with such perfection and always enjoys every minute in front of an audience.
