Yo meen, it was blast!!! I believe without seeing the best gig they've done during the tour!! Everything was and went sheer perfectly!! The songs, the playing the singing, the lights, the mic stand "up-throws"..

Brian, roger and paul were all at their triumph!!
It only literally proved this one old saying.. "There can be only one!". and after Freddie its not a person but a band that describes it best.. The whole gig from the incoming was just like fantacy come true.. the lights, the atmosphere.. the sound all superb.. Paul exelled all out outmost expectations how to reach the Freddie's divine dimensions in songs like Radio GaGa and Show must go on not to speak of We are the champions..

Brians mid-intervention speaks.. 19 yrs since the last visit as queen didnt seem to matter as it was like yesterday since the last visit, only the venue was much smaller to fit for pauls habitus, after all Freddie and certainly his ego couldn't possibly have fit in this relatively small arena..Which was almost full of avid fans.. all ages.. youngest being infants and oldest maybe nearly 80 yrs old.. without boundaries handicapped and crippled people were all there altogether!!

after all the suspicions I had against the stories "how wonder queen were on their triumph on gigs 20 yrs ago and before".. It really opened my eyes now.. I got into the real phenomem.. I was touched by the pure magic.. and it made me blissfull..

No signs of tour fatigue.. pure champions till the end!!!

Just so happy to hear that someone thought like me... I stood in the very front, right by the fence to the walk, and I could see and feel every emotion in Brian's face, and it was more than awesome... Wow, what a concert... Don't know if I could have lived through one with Freddie, lol, it might have been just too much =P. I don't know how many we were on the floor, but I know that every single one down there was in the music, with it... Thank you to Paul Rogers, who can never be Freddie, but did an awesome job, and made it happen. Will be forever grateful for that. The people who have seen Freddie are allowed to be critical, but for us who were four or five when he passed, this was our only chance, and it was worth every penny, every hour in line (and for me, on the bus). Brian and Roger gave everything too, and together they created an athmosphere that can't be described, only felt.

I have to admit that Paul did a good job with the vocals. On the same note I have to say that Brian and Roger "did" absolutely nothing to me, and could have been replaced with just about anybody. :/

The Expressen review might be even worse. :/

Maybe Markus Larsson and Anders Nunstedt expected Paul to behave and sing just like Freddie. Ah well...

Have you read the DN review? I myself like that one.

The each better before

Concert

Queen
Globen, Saturday

2Alltså, I have definitelily no towards Paul Rodgers. The near 56-åriga song arena has done a lot of good things through the years with groups that Free and asked Company. The is not moreover speciallily difficult to take that old Queen-medlemmarna Brian May and Roger Taylor can recognize the draw after the tour life. But when the gentlemen combine their number states and moreover does the during the name Queen becomes the actual no further.
Queen was an off the favourite kind bags for critics when the band each as most active. For own part, I took never the squeak. But so bought I also their first record when the comes 1973. In my world each Queen a band that succeeded to combine musical excesser with humour, a certain arrogance and coward taking part's djävulskt good tunes.
In many respect förkroppsligade song arena Freddie Mercury all the Queen represented. But Mercury died in AIDS 1991. Before its turnérade Queen not on a number years pga Freddie Mercurys disease. Sweden visited the at the end intact 1985 or about the each
1986.

That the Queen as now turnerar is not of same wool as the old edition is noticed directlily on Globen. Early comes in Wanna good machine-gun free, that each a lot of dubbeltydig in the homosexual Mercurys version, becomes here only broad borne boogierock.
And so where continues the in tune after tune. Gitarristen Brian May krämar on little too much that if he tries to compensate with more and fläskigare sounds. Rodgers ranges the vocal cords so a lot of he has the energy, but he is insufficientlily subtle in order to handle this material.
In order to tillfredställa the fan in the audience as come in order to see Rodgers drives the band also some of those tunes he is most known for. And the feels also uneven since the music Paul Rodgers busy oneself with does not lie in line with Queens aesthetics at all.
The barrel ice Roger Taylor takes itself also tonne. The should he not do. In Say it " s note true, a tune as been typed in order to gather money to Nelson Mandelas HIV-fond, lets the substantial bad. And Queen-dängan in " m in love with my car does he not a lot of better the.
Moreover is noticed the that the years riddle when one consults Taylors formal trumspel.
May holds the style some so when, but goes away itself conscientious in a gitarrsolo that already after four rats feels infinitelily longlily.

The feels hårt to need weak taking old heroes so here, but the exists actuallily no choice. An only tune during the whole evening sheep little more than validated. The is when May putons long out the heavy as stretches himself from the scene and sings Love of my life, an off Freddie Mercurys more beautiful tunes. The audience takes over after a while and the lets both dignifiedlily and delicate. That while stands more or less for the whole grade you see here above.
In other respect, t o m when the plays along with Mercury, that is visible on a monitor, in Bohemian Rapsody, could one only that old damn sigh heavily.

Paul Rodgers impresses

Musical
Queen+Paul Rodgers
Scene: Globen, Stockholm

As last encore comes “We are the champions”, an off Freddie Mercurys very most typical tunes and some of a trademark for the group Queen. Moreover an of those tunes one has wondered how in the whole world Paul Rodgers will can to sing.

But he does the to his, at least initially. The rat is little slower, assigned little lowly and he sings the as he has sung so many ballads through his career, especially the as was called “baths company”. He goes all the way from placid sad vote to showing the big sångarmusklerna in crescendot before the chorus. The is actually a remarkabel omstöpning, lets not at all particularlily krystat.

Late falls silent he. The chorus gets the audience to sing. And the group's all körsångare. Alone acts he more fan for the than song area off the.

The is a logical solution on a difficult musical problem, and impressing surely performed. And very awkward. Which is what precise man can to say about the whole that tour as reached Sweden on the very valborgsmässoafton.

To replace Freddie Mercury in Queen does not go of course like. The each therefore the group took up so definitivelily with his death 1991. And the is not neither the as Queen has done now. Not actually.

The does not have otherwise lacked candidates. Two of the most clear is Robbie William's and George Michael, both is stars in own names and established Queen-beundrare. Instead, the group chooses therefore an old bluesrocksångare.

Which is precise rightly intended. With each sångare that is the smallest bodies Freddie Mercury was the set-up sentenced to crash and to be changed to an exceptional lavish cover band. The becomes impossible with a man that Paul Rodgers.

He is an of coat history even definitely in front sångare, but to natura and temp era intended is he Freddie Mercurys contrast. Bluesig, shaded off and stable instead of teatralisk, eldfängd and neurotisk. A trite snubbe in simple t-shirt instead of an of coat history even most colourful scenpersonligheter. He jumps over most of it of average chat and publikfrierier in order to instead to do the job and to sing, unlike the Freddie Mercury that had unofficial world record in audience contact.

Not wonder on that man consistent market stem the the whole as Queen+Paul Rodgers. Carefully counted is the of course only half Queen that has reunited, the bass player John Deacon granted a pension to itself with Freddie Mercurys dead and has late its refused befatta itself with some off the group's activities. Irrespective of about the has applied to take towards some price, works with a Queen-musikal or to do some newly production välgörande purposes.

For Queen is a band in that the size class, especially home in England. Almost on Abba-nivå, a Bug in love profit machine that never has released the grip about the audience. Big parts of turnén became also utsåld in a jiffy, with Sweden and a two third fulfilled Glob as a clear exception.

Permanent the is actually another band. Out, the excessive is, that boiling one kitschigheten, the winter lair gang pastischerna. Instead, we get a coat band that concentrates itself on the musics. Concurrent as gitarristen Brian May and the barrel ice Roger Taylor gets bigger roles that sångare, with that their votes actual consults to that sound that where Queens.

But the is Paul Rodgers that actually impresses. Not only for modet to take itself an an information so sentenced to fail, without also in order to he copes with the with such resning. Most, he sings the coat tunes, the as lies near his common registers: “Tie your mother down”, “drums cur empty curse girls”, “in want it all”, “Crazy little thing called love”. He goes straightlily on them, with a vote that is equally strong and säker - faktiskt - as Freddie Mercurys. Does product only a to an u

Hehe, it would have helped to read through those transations before posting them, they don't make much sense, do they?

I guess I can agree to as much as the guitarr solo was not awesome, and that roger's voice didn't really work in Say it's not true, but hey, it was a pretty song!

The best line in all of the reviews was "Fresh strawberries with whipped cream and salt couldn't have made me more nauseus". Once I had stopped being annoyed at the reviewer, I laughed. Freddie would have done the same, at that remark.

I loved the consert! It was great. Paul isn't Freddie (noone wil ever be) but he did a great job! :D Radio Gaga was fun, I've always wanted to do that clapping-hands-thing^^ The best part was when Brian (he's a fantastic man) played the guitar and we sang "love of my life". that was just a big moment for me. And when Freddie sang on Bohemian Rhapsody^^ Here in Norway the consert got bad reviews to :(

Lots of love Siri

now playing "I want to break free" ^^

great show,

a pity that it wasnt a sell out

but everyone in the audience made it to a very special night

i was 13 when Freddie died so this was my only chance

i liked the hammer to fall version

maybe the guitar solo was a bit long but still fun to see brian may

it would be nice if they could make a record togheter

i thougt Taylor sounded more impressive on stage than on the records, i have never liked his voice but he convinced this saturday

it feels unreal that i ve seen Queen,
when the concert ended it felt like everything dissappeared, like when you wake up from a wonderful dream

a great moment in my life

cheers
