Great stuff!

I also remember Brian stating that an unplugged version of We Are The Champions with RW exists, and that it was originally meant to be the one in the soundtrack. As we all know, it remains unreleased.

Btw, there are quite a few only-single releases versions of a couple of Bob Geldof tracks featuring RT off the SA&D album.

one thing I've always wondered (and I'm not expecting anyone to know the answer), is why Brian & Roger didn't stick around for WWRY/WATC at the 10th Anniversary Freddie Tribute show. They usually seem to play those songs whenever they have the opportunity...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame took place in March 2001, not February.

yes, '19 March 2001' is correct.

No you are correct Lester. March it was not February! (But that's what I originally wrote wasn't it?)

Edit: OK - I see it now - I had it down twice. Once as the 19th March, the other as 19th Feb. I have now erased the incorrect version.

M: Your quote makes the mistake clearer...

"Queen: Unreleased, Rock ‘n Roll Hall Of Fame 19 March 2001
We Will Rock You
Tie Your Mother Down"

"Queen: Unreleased, New York, Rock ‘n Roll Hall Of Fame, 19 February 2001
(Rock ‘n Roll Hall Of Fame induction; with Brian May and The Foo Fighters)
We Will Rock You, Tie Your Mother Down"

The first version is the correct date.

John,

The following is a post YourValentine saved about "Strange Frontier / Celebration". Can you post this, and i will add it to your discography section:

-------------------------------

Thanks PG, it's nice to know that some still retain a little faith.

The track "Celebration" comes from the unreleased "Strange Frontier" sessions tape.

I know this because I owned my copy BEFORE the "Strange Frontier" LP was officially released.

However, most of the tracks on the tape, are very similar (if not the same) to the final released LP/CD versions.

Another "odd" acetate version worth a mention is "Strange Frontier - Frankie Goes To Hollywood Intro".

This version is exactly the same as the UK 7", but features the wail of an air-raid siren - very similar to the Frankie Goes To Hollywood song "Two Tribes" - at the start of the track.

This could be duplicated by anyone who has access to both these versions. Simply cut the siren from the Frankie song, and paste it to the start of Strange Frontier. Viola - you have your very own "genuine" Roger Taylor "unreleased" acetate!

NOT that I need confirmation, but I am sure that Mr. Scully or Ron B could verify this information as 100% accurate.

If I seem to be a little irritated, I appologise. I just find it annoying that even after multiple replies, there will always remain those who wish to argue from personal opinion or heresay - wait and see, in a few weeks time, the same old stuff will come out all over again.
