I LOVE that show so I was pissed just that they cancelled it.

BUT...the final episode WTF! They Killed off one of the main and favorite (my favorite as well)characters, Chief Engineer "Trip" Tucker. Why kill him off if the show is cancelled?

That's like killing off Spock (which doesn't count when they killed Spock in the film Wrath Of Khan because the producers were intentinally bringing him back in the next film).

Then they have the nerve to write in some boring mumbo jumbo bringing in a subplot to have "guests"
Jonathan Frakes and Marina Sirtis from Star Trek The Next Generation..Now I loved that show too, but WHY and what was the purpose at all to bring them in, and then give LESS time to the characters of Enterprise, in a very important series finale when you want to see all the characters as much as possible for the last time...WTF?

I cried anyhow. MORE so cuz the idiots killed Trip..who gave his life to save Captain Archer and the Federation..But I will miss that show very much and the actors, characters, and show deserved BETTER for the series finale.

Well, I am going to be seeing Mariana Sirtis tomorrow and I will let her know that you didn't like her guest role.. ;-) I also will be getting a chance to meet Jeffery Combs as well. whoo hoo..

http://www.motorcitycomiccon.com/motor_city_comic_con/guests.html

just scroll down half way to see the media guests..

I was disappointed in the way they handled it, I mean come on, no one will notice that Riker has put on weight and that Troi's once FIRM breasts are a little on the saggy side... I surely didn't notice that.. ;-)

WHen I heard that they were going to kill a major charactor I thought it would be Hoshi or Mayweather.. or maybe be as bold as killing Reed.. but NOT one of the core members. it was like an episode of ST:TNG instead of Enterprise.
One can only wonder what they will come up with next....

The only thing that pisses me off is that they didn't cancel it before.

Sorry, Arlene. It's really sad when a favorite show gets canceled. I really love Star Trek and was a fan of all the shows, except Enterprise. I never had the opportunity to get into it. Where I live, the UPN station went belly up--the local WB took up the slack, but then it also bit the dust. So it was over for me a long time ago. But I commiserate with you over your loss.

I love Star Wars too Raf.. but face it.. TREK was first!

Lets do the math.. there has been 6 Star Wars movies.. and 10 Star Trek movie with #11 on the way in 2006... there has been 6 television series of Star Trek including the animated series.. and the debate will forever continue as to which was better.. well... as far as I am concerned TREK RULES!!! Have you seen or heard of many Star Wars conventions? But Star TREK.. oh yeah.. TONS of them.. and oh yeah.. one more thing.. has there ever been a NASA ship called Millenium Falcon? I don't recall one.. but I do remember a Space Shuttle called.. ENTERPRISE!

Lucas is a genius.. I give him that, Star Wars is a great franchise.. but Gene Roddenberry was better.. and even after his death in 1991 his legacy lives on.

I'm pisssed of about not seeing it yet... But then agian, it's hardly a surprise, considering that I have to download every episode from the internet.

STAR WARS RULES!!!

Yes, it rules the market of scifi action made with a huge budget. They're nice movies, but almost as overrated as The Beatles.
And there's no way in hell they could ever compare to hundreds of hours of backstory set in a single universe.

My dear lord, star trek is possibly the most boring stupid, crappy show ever!!

It's not cos it's sci-fi cos I love star wars and the hitchhikers guide to the galaxy but star trek, along with stargate, is pure shit!! Really awful!!

I'm gonna have to agree with that one. The same reason why 'Scooby Doo' is so popular, although I have to say 'Scooby Doo' is far more shitty than 'Star Trek'.

QUALITY DOESN'T MEAN QUANTITY.

Star Wars = Few movies, great fun
Star Trek = lots of stuff, but CRAPPY stuff.

So... Three (or possibly even four) good movies in 28 years is better than a few hundred episodes of good television series in the past 40 years?

Maybe it's just me, but I just can't see that there is any match. :/

only SciFi worth watching is Galaxy Quest and HGTTG

I don't think there's more than a gnat's bollock of difference between ST and SW - they're both utter shite!!! and linda, you neglected the half-dozen or so shitty ST films too!!!bag o' fucking shite!
...and don't get me on star wars - talk about flogging a dead horse...milking the cow dry they are!!!
fucking part1 comes AFTER part4 (which was the reaL PART1) THEN PARTS 1-4 GET RENAMED 4-7 - FUCKING HOT ON THEIR MATHS THESE BASTARDS bet they didn't get a Maths O level between em!!!
and to make matter worse Star Wars - the original movie - gets renamed 30 years later to A NEW HOPE

i can't believe there are so many inadequates who HAVE to dress up as Jedis, wookies, droids and vader and keep the whole fucking thing going so long...they're nearly as BAD as the Trekkies....

...who learn the fucking klingon (are those another name for shit that won't wipe away) language (please!!!!)..and toy phasers (as Eddie Izzard said: why do those things oNLY have two settings? kill and stun? - what's wrong with a "limp" setting, or bit of a cold)...i can't believe how bad it is...and gene Roddenbury dies about 170million light years ago - BUT THEY'RE still churning new shit out....it's fucking worse than calling Taggart TAGGART

Well, I see this place is for the children of sci-fi.. ;-) so I will just take pleasure in saying that after talking with Marina Sirtis she told me that her and John Frakes came on Enterprise to save their asses, although it was too late.. she agreed with me that the final episode wasn't a great episode to end the series with, it would have made a great regular episode, but it had too much of a Next Gen feel to it. she is a lovely woman.. it was great meeting her and getting my pic taken with her. Oh I must say.. it was a pain in the ASS to crouch down like that for my photo with her, but she just wouldn't stand.. and my knees just about gave out on me. it looks like I am about to take a dump eh..

And this is me and Dirk Benedict (Starbuck on the original Battlestar Galactica) he just signed my very rare Super8 film of Battlestar Galactica and was VERY impressed with it.

I wish I had someone that KNEW how to take pictures with me but I guess that is to be expected eh..

You LUCKY!!!! Great photo of both of you!

BTW, as I said I adore Marina Sirtis...I just thought that since this was the series finale for Star Trek Enterprise, I didn't want guests on it, I wanted as much time focused on the actors and characters I have grown to love and would only get to see this final last time...farewell. Or as the theme song's lyrics begin..."It's been a long road...getting from there to here. It's been a long time...but my time is finally here." Bye with love :)

No but Howling Mad was there.. (Dwight Shultz) and the A-Team Van.. but I couldn't take a pic of that because they wanted money.. :) My dad got his pic taken with Shultz.. I was short on cash so I had to be careful of who I got pics with.. at $20.00 a Celeb it adds up quick.

Marina said if you really think about it, that episode was a Next Gen.. as her and Riker were the only REAL people on there..the rest were Holodeck characters.. lol she said she wasn't pleased with how it ended.. as I said she felt it was a good episode, just not a finale episode.
We talked for about 15 minutes...
