Anyone ever seen the "Play The Game" video? My God what was he thinking with that "Nero" style of cut? Love the song, hate the hair. I've always liked the "Jazz" era style. That's just me.

I think Freddie looked good during the Jazz tour and especially during the grazy tour.

Yeah, the song blew me away. The hair needed a bit o' change. I always wanted that "Jazz" style as a performer, but, instead of being voted in high school as "most likely to succeed", I was voted "most likely to recede". Ergghh!!!

His hair in Play The Game video always reminds me of Loyd from the movie ''Dumb and Dumber''

Have to say..and everyone on QZ knows I almost NEVER say anything bad about Freddie's looks...but that particular hairstyle was WACK! I agree. Even on the album cover it looks like he had a bad hair day.

I was chatting with Crystal Taylor (Rogers Drum Roady) one time and he was telling me that Freddie had a bald spot on the back of his head.. He said Freddie did everything to hide that fact.. it makes you wonder had he lived longer.. would he have lost ALL his hair..

Not necessarily. If you go on the Touring Forum, there is a thread about Paul Rodgers' viscous streak, where we all discuss Brian's slightly noticable bald patch at the back of his head...and look how much hair he STILL has.

But, If Freddie had gone bald..look how many movie and rock stars from Sean Connery to David Lee Roth to Elton John are. They just get plugs, extensions, weaves, good rugs. I hear Paul Rodgers is pretty much bald, but he got a weave. When you are a celebrity, you can afford all those cosmetic perks to keep up the youthful, glamorous image.

Then again, nowadays, the YOUNG rockers, all INTENTIONALLY shave their heads thinking it looks cool. Freddie had so much talent I would have adored him bald or with a weave, makes no difference to me.

Interesting. It's quite noticeable at times on Budapest particularly but at Wembley, it's quite full on top. It did recede quite badly in '89 and 90 but on headlong he looked like he had a full head of hair. Very strange.

For me, Freddie's best hairstyle is in the Somebody To Love video. But Freddie is cute with any haircut!!!

I agree, because his face is cute, no matter what! It's just that awful moustache that ruins things for me... Why did you have to grow that friggin' moustache, Freddieeeee?!! XD

Yeah, I noticed his head, his hair is thin in back, even in the early 80s
