I just heard for the first time, Freddie's duet with Cliff Richard, LIVE called "It's In Everyone of Us"

It's one of the most stunning songs I have ever heard Freddie do outside of Queen (I LOVE Cliff Richard too, and have been a fan of his all my life too back to "Devil Woman"..showing my age here)...

..anyhow..the lyrics too are gorgeous, very, very meaningful (Fairy you would love it).

What date/year is this from, what show is this from, where/what venue was it performed at, and can you buy this live version of the song?

Its from Time, Freddie's last live performance. Where did you get it? MercuryParadise.com? John

Yes, I listened to it about 5 times on that website.

But what date/year is it from? Can you buy this on CD or is it on the FM box set (THIS version as I LOVE it)!

Considering it's Freddie's last live performance (I would suppose AIDS was affecting his health somewhat by then), he sounds amazing and puts his all into this exuberant performance.

BTW, I thought Dave Clark wrote the musical "Time". Why would Cliff Richard own the rights. Wouldn't Dave Clark?

ARW....numerous websites have been listed in many past posts for you to do the legwork and read and research these topics.

Glad you're finally hearing songs many of us have been fortunate enough to have had in our possession for 10-20 years, or other tracks readily available for eons.

Must you comment on every single one that's new to you every day?

Or comment on things which you have just read about, and, IMO, don't have a clue as to their actual happenings?

Why not set up a hotmail account, and have people write to you? Afraid of spam???? Well.....most of us don't spam this board 40 times a day, and many good people don't seem to be posting as much as before.

Wonder why.

oh, and btw....my email is in my profile.

Any relatives in Cape Cod or Nashville?

Arlene, I thought you said you had been a Queen fan since you were very young. How come you are just now hearing this duet?

Because I live in the USA and alot of this music was not released or available in the 70's/80's here...and of course the Internet did NOT yet exist..which has now opened up a whole new world of music, information, video & concert footage that I have never seen or heard or knew til now.

Also not to bore you, but I spent much of my younger life as caretaker for a disabled widowed mother, and didn't even go to my 1st concert til my mid twenties. When you spend 24/7 taking care of an invalid, you don't get the chance to experience a whole lot. I didn't (get out so to speak) on my own in the world until my mom passed on in my early thirties.

I live in the States also and am thankful that the internet exists now too. When I was young and if you needed to learn about something, you had to go to the library and check the book out.

I've been on this site for almost 3 years and pretty much anything and everything you want to know about Queen is here directly or indirectly. When I first got here and I had a question, I used the search feature and was able to find out a lot or be directed to other websites such as Rein's and Martin's for more indepth stuff. I also viewed the FAQ section. I am 100% positive that certain members on this board know more about Queen and their catalogue than the members of Queen themselves. They have every aspect of Queen covered, concerts/tours, interviews, studio work, track release information, rarities etc. All the information is here for you to soak up and enjoy, you just need to find it yourself.

As you have found out, Rein's site is especially good for listening to some nice audio and Martin's site specilizes in detailed concert informatation, there is even a site out there that explains details on Freddie's vocal range and his highest and lowest notes in Queen songs.

I'm just putting this information out incase you didn't know about it and this is also how I have found the answers to my numerous questions on Queen when I first became a fan. I was able to find out things I wanted to know without filling up the board with every thought, comment, or question I had on Queen. I sense some posters are getting annoyed with the volume and length of your posts.

All everyone wants on here is a nice habitat for us all to bounce off each other. Of course we all will not have the same opinions on things or it would be boring. We shouldn't have the same opinions on things either. But we do need to co-exist and be considerate of each other on here. I can't speak for every poster on here but my only issue with you is that you post so many times that possibly other threads by other posters are covered up. Indeed it is your right to post and comment on what you'd like but just give it a thought or two before you post it, just make sure it's something others on here would enjoy to read and comment on. Like Jgoodm said, ask yourself what your post or new thread is contributing to the board.

Just some suggestions ok? Please don't get angry or defensive.

Here's a great link that tells you everything about "Time" the musical, who wrote it, starred in it, plot synopsys, the album, etc.

http://www.ultimatequeen.co.uk/Misc/time.htm

Also:
Devised and created by Dave Clark
Lyrics by David Soames
Music by Jeff Daniels
Musical Director: Mike Moran

...So I cannot see how Cliff Richard would own rights to any part of "Time".

I found ONE photo on the Mercurysparadise website that said "Freddie's last live performance" and I'm assuming that is from "Time" and he indeed looks terrible and ill.

Which website? We have mentioned many on this topic.

That was very kind and lovely of you to say. Sometimes people on QZ are so shi**y to me (and each other) I don't get it.

I do think of QZ as a place to discuss discovering and exploring all things Queen, and I feel like I've fallen into this amazing treasure trove of wonder about a band I already have loved all my life.

Surprised to hear Cliff Richard himself was a little snide himself about Freddie. Probably jealous at Freddie's talent upstaging him. I love Cliff Richard too, since I was a kid with "Devil Woman" and remember that beautiful duet he did from the AWFUL movie "Xanadu" with Olivia newton John, "Suddenly"? But that song is as gorgeous to me today as when I first heard it. The one redeeming thing about that film.

But...Cliff Richard certainly is no Freddie and on that duet, while they both sound stunning together, it's Freddie's voice that soars and shines through.

Thanks again Flash00 :) xxxx

This is it John. It's the same one as on Mercurysparadise. Freddie looks so ill here, quite upsetting.

Quite right. People on here are always complaining about fans who ask them questions. I just don't get it. We're supposed to be one big happy bunch of guys. Why don't people act like it. We all share one common thing. An Alien landing on this planet for the first time and logging on to Queenzone would really get the impression sometimes, by the attitudes on here that all Queen fans think they are a bunch of clever B*****DS. I really don't get it

Well I bet Serry or JSS know more about this than me. I just know that Cliff owns the rights, it might be that Freddie and him both had it, but after Freddie died, all rights went to Cliff.

Sergey, John Stuart, either of you out there to help us out here.

Since Dave Clark wrote the story, the Lyrics were written by David Soames, and the Music was written by by Jeff Daniels, WHO owns the Copyrights/Intellectual Properties to any recordings of the many live productions of "Time"?

Hi Rafael, it's true - you can ask all the questions here. But is it polite and respectful to spam this board with hundreds of repetitive posts when a single click can bring you the answer? Arlene claims to be a music journalist but she does not know that you need the permission of the performing artist to release a live performance (unless he/she agreed to such a release in a contract), that's pretty odd. But it's not enough for her to ask - no, she asks again and again like a 2 year old child. When she does not get an answer within minutes, she reposts the question demanding that John Stuart or other people answer her question when any 10 year old can figure it out for themselves.

jgood is not the only person here who is annoyed by the flood of Arlene's redundant posts. They spoil the board for the rest of us.

Please read Nr. 1 of Richard's forum guidelines

I kinda beg to differ on the comment of Queen's rare stuff wasn't available here in the US back then, gee i had tons of bootlegs and every lp that would come out. I don't think you looked very hard, Queen's rare stuff was as popular as Zepplin's here in the 70's & 80's.

How is politely asking Sergey & John a question...being demanding?

Also, journalists LEARN by ASKING questions..which ARE a HUGE part of research...

...and I went on QZ for the enjoyment of a NON work/employment environment to discuss Queen topics and learn about Queen from FANS.

I am not here doing a job or working, I am here for the discusions and learning experience and to enjoy them in a non hostile/non working environment.

P.S. You got angry with me for bringing up that interviw with Freddie on the mercuryparadise website..which I DID find by exploring that very website, then a ton of people on QZ were happy I had brought it to their attention, and asked about it. So what did I do wrong?

YOU even helped Fairy with the text of it when she asked about it, but yet you snapped at me for even bringing the interview up, which she and all the people who asked about it would not have known if I had NOT brought it up.

I cannot win with you.

I do not Spam QZ, I post topics like anybody else here that I find interesting ot want to discuss and bounce feedback from other people.

I feel that you have personally attacked me repeatedly with snide comments ever since I came on here. I have NEVER said anything nasty to you, so why must you consistantly put me down?
