Just wondering in "Its a hard life", Freddie towards the end says, "yes I did for love... for love... for love...", what do think he means by it? And what did he do for love?

It means that - it was love he did it for!

I think it means that he did everything for love - and even though that may have put him in a lot of painful situations, he can still look back on his life and realize that he was just trying to find love.

Didn't he start going out with Jim Hutton just before the Works was released, and he had a bit of a hard life, with Hot Space, tabloids etc, getting him down. So he wrote the song for love. This is just my opinion.

No. He didn't go with Jim till mid 85. He was with Barbara Valentin and Winnie during 1983 - 84 I'm told, with many threesomes.

Sorry if this is a stupid question but who is Barbara Valentine and Winnie?
