earlier on in the year i mentioned that i was going 2 a tribute queen concert. Now i must say it was GREAT. I went with 2 of my mates and they also loved it.
The whole night went great. You could barely tell that they weren't rele Queen. The song list was spectacular but they missed some of my favourites like 'now i'm here' and 'dont stop me now'. so many people wanted dont stop me now. We were all shouting it out but then he said that they tried it once and it didn't work very well.
The singing was seamless. he hit pretty much all the notes Freddie could. His voice wasn't the same but then again, no-one is. but his voice was great. THe guitarist was AWSOME!. he was so good. the drummer was also great. he did a drum solo which was spectacular. And the bass player was...decent. he knew how to play the songs which was good. only he didn't look like JD.
On the whole it was a fantastic night that was a heap of fun. This was one of the best nights i've had.
After the show, i went and got autographs. Including one from peter freeman.
so i recomend it 2 everyone. i give it 11/10.

Good on yer. Glad you enjoyed it. I bet it didn't cost £50.00 a ticket either and the singer didn't forget the lyrics.

Oh man - leave Paul Rodgers alone - if you dislike the fact Queen are playing with a new vocalist, or dislike his voice or style, fine. But dont knock the man for mistakes he made with songs which were completely new to him early in the tour.
I think I remember correctly BPP that youve not been to QPR - any assertions you make are therefore invalid.
And I seem to remember you based your early decision on hating Paul Rodgers, and attacking this tour based on 46664 or something that early, which was no example of the abilities of this band at all (although it wasnt bloody bad!)

the band was called 'Queen, its a kinda magic'. their site is http://www.queen.itsakindamagic.com/
For those of you who don't know, Peter Freestone was Freddie Mercury's personal assistant.
Also the tickets costed $60 (which is about 25 pounds) and he got a lyric wrong. almost unnoticable but i picked up on it.
