I've read a few times that Roger started work on Shove It before the Cross had actually been formed and we all know that he was the sole songwriter on that album. I've always thought that the album sounds like a solo effort and nothing like Mad, Bad, or Blue Rock. Do the other band members actually feature at all on the record, or did Roger play everything (except for where Brian and Freddie guest)?

Paul Rodgers played everything on this record.

Actually it were Roger and Spike mostly.
