What a fucking disgrace this guy is. Its not big or clever to drink and takes drugs, or to do live 8 under the influence. I hope this guy chokes on his own vomit. I hate the way the media have made him out to be some kinda rock star and that its cool cos hes on drugs. The guys a fucking loser, like his girlfriend.

Yeah, I don't see the fascination with the guy. I just don't see anything worth watching or listening to. And that's before I saw him yesterday.

Kate Moss is alright. I heard Jools Holland say that at her party she did a little sing-song and she sounded like a great singer. I say it's a shame we don't get to see that side of her as it's always the parties and reckless lifestyle we hear about.

Peace,
Adam.

I've said it before and I'll say it again - some people may think he's really great and 'rock n' roll' on account of his antics, but I think he is just plain sloppy as a singer and an all around performer. Flailing and drooling about the stage like that is very boring. You could tell that Elton wasn't impressed either. Although sadly, the opinion formers in the music press will still make him out to be a messiah.

Also, what was that thing he had hanging out of his mouth when he came on?

I was flicking through the tv channels and he was onstage at glastonberry and looked out of his head.

And my mum said "Well he's F**ked, change the channel". He looked a wreck.

Taking drugs and drinking an all that aint good if your gonna be on stage. But its really up to him if he wants to take drugs. He knows the consecquences. Drugs can be very fun.

I didn't understand why he had to perform. Did Bob Geldof invite him personally? Or was he the guest of Elton John?
It doesn't matter, because he was shit. I think he's a hit because he's going out with that anorexic bitch.

Pete Doherty has spoken about his performance at live8. He was not out of it on drugs, he claims just before he went on stage Peaches Geldof grabbed his bum and said something suggestive in his ear.

Like his performance he is full of shit.

EXCLUSIVE: DOHERTY'S PEACH OF AN EXCUSE
I wasn't out of it on drugs.. I was going on stage when Bob Geldof's 16-year-old girl Peaches pinched my bum and made a pass at me. It did my head in
From Stephen Moyes In Ibiza
PETE Doherty yesterday blamed his shambolic Live 8 act on Peaches Geldof making a cheeky pass at him seconds before he went on stage.

Millions thought the self-confessed crackhead was high on drugs as he stumbled, looked dazed and confused and forgot his words.

But the Babyshambles star insisted it was all down to Bob Geldof's 16-year-old daughter.

He said: "I wasn't lost for words and I wasn't out of it on drugs. Just before I went on stage Peaches squeezed my bum hard and whispered something rather suggestive to me. It left me in such shock I didn't know where I was.

"Bob Geldof has organised this amazing global event, I was facing 210,000 people, the cameras are rolling, and f****** Elton John is dueting with me. And Bob's daughter has secretly made a pass at me. It's all I can think about. It did my head in. I didn't think Bob would be very happy."

Doherty - wearing streaky mascara and struggling to keep his granny hat on - was booed as he forgot the words to T-Rex's Children of the Revolution during Saturday's Hyde Park gig.

But despite the disapproval Peaches, daughter of the late Paula Yates, loved every minute. Tellingly, she said: "I was starstruck. His performance was the most passionate of the night."

Speaking in Ibiza Doherty, 26, revealed he and his manager James Mulford almost missed Live 8 because his illegally parked car was clamped in Islington, North London.

He said: "James told the guys we didn't have any cash. They recognised me, saw our Live 8 passes were genuine and seemed embarrassed to be clamping us. But their boss effectively told James 'We don't give a damn who you are, or whether it's Live 8 or not'. She said we'd have to pay the fine. In the end we caught a taxi."

Homes for Islington, which oversees parking in the area, said yesterday: "As Pete couldn't pay, his car couldn't be unclamped."

Doherty admitted he was puzzled why Elton had taken him under his wing. He said: "He seems to love me a bit. I can't think why. He knows how to have a good time and knows I like a crack. I hope we'll do more performances together."

The star was in Ibiza for a gig before 10,000 revellers at the huge Manumission club. Girlfriend Kate Moss, 31, could not join him because of a modelling date in Paris. Doherty said: "I'll see her there. We're so in love, I can't wait."

Barry, I have been trying to find any press or review of Pete's debacle and I just found this on your post on this thread. What a weiner (and a stoner).

Can't believe he blamed this on Peaches supposedly making a pass at him. Like anything would shock him anyhow..really.

I read all the press in the NME especiallynearly weekly yarns of his troubles with crack and heroin. What a waste case.

I heard that Elton John personally requested Bob Geldof to let Elton duet with Pete. What the hell does Elton John see in this lunkhead?

Dumbass Doherty's band babyshambles just postponed their tour with no raeson given.

Also Oasis cancelled Babyshambles as their tour support, because Doherty missed one of his gigs with Oasis. Loser.

One word...drugs.

I know Oasis are hypocrites, but at least they show up for their own gigs. They're ''functional''.

Doherty is WAY out of control. The British press was all over his ass for his nightmare performance, humiliating Elton John who he dueted with at Live 8.

But alas as aften is the way Doherty is a very brilliant songwriter you only have to listen to 'The Man Who Would Be King', Music When The Lights Go Out' and 'Time For Heroes' to understand his talent.

If you don't listen and just dismiss him as a drug taking twat (which he is) you'll miss out on what's on the other side of the coin. I just hope he doesn't go the same way as Kurt Cobain, Janis Joplin, Gram Parsons et al.
