Roger Taylor was in Modena, too (Pavarotti and Friends). He played drums to all the songs you listed except Radio GaGa which he sang. The complete show was broadcasted live by RAI UNO.

Brian and Roger also played a charity show with the SAS Band in London in May 2003. Check the details on queenconcerts.com

Yes that is correct, I should have made that a bit clearer. I have this on SVCD (or DIVX) - and the quality is excellent, but I forget where it came from now. Was it in here?

YourValentine: Brian and Roger also played a charity show with the SAS Band in London in May 2003. Check the details on queenconcerts.com

OK - I do not have this, so that explains the absence. I will add it to both the above and my wanted list.

Also thanks for the reply, this is a classical example of a hole in my own collection - and therefore your info has pushed the whole thread forwards - and made the collection - more ultimate.

Thank you for that, as that is really what the thread is all about.

Audio interviews

2003-11-13 Roger Taylor Interview on Capitol Gold Radio
2003 - KFM Cape Town - Brian May Interview (I assume it's in November around the time of 46664, but do not have an exact date)

Also, video interviews from Australia over the new WWRY
2003-08-07 Brian May - Maxvision TV Melbourne, Australia
2003-08 Brian + Roger - Today Show Australian interview
2003 - Brian + Roger - Chat Room (Aussie WWRY)
2003 - Sunrise (Maxvision?)- WWRY Australian premiere report with Brian and Roger interviews (also has clips of the Aussie aftershow party with Bri and Rog performing Whole Lotta Love)

Brian also sang on the finale, Verdi's Brindisi from La Traviata, at the Pavarotti & Friends Concert

at the Songwriter's HOF concert, Brian messed up in WWRY and had it edited out of the TV broadcast, so there is an "unreleased" version of that already unique performance of the song

and also, from Queenconcerts.com, the following songs are known from the Melbourne after party setlist

01. Tie Your Mother Down (Brian vocals + guitar, Roger drums, Amanda Harrison vocals)
02. Whole Lotta Love (Brian guitar, Roger drums)
03. Rock And Roll (Brian guitar, Roger vocals)
and a Rufus Tiger Taylor (Roger's son) drum solo

Alex Solan: I think I never saw it here, if you'd be able to share it that'd be awsome!

No problem with sharing Alex. I don't think this is that rare as it was recorded from an Italian TV broadcast after all.

But I am not too clever with computers - you may need to hold my hand in converting this to bit torrent though.

I have DVD quality files of the Rai Uno broadcast of all the songs by Queen, Pavarotti, and Zucchero on my hard disk, which are of much better quality than DivX or SVCD.

If anyone would like, I can make DVD+R's of these, since I cannot find time to BitTorrent such huge files, so that someone else can distribute these on QZ.

Let me know.

Zeni: Thanks for the audio interview additions. As you can see I have added these to the above list.

I also apologise, as I did try to incorporate your Australian TV "WWRY - OST" interviews, but unfortunately I cannot, as I have exceeded my word limit.

However, can I thank you for your submission anyhow?

...video interviews from Australia over the new WWRY...

2003-08-07 Brian May - Maxvision TV Melbourne, Australia
2003-08 Brian + Roger - Today Show Australian interview
2003 - Brian + Roger - Chat Room (Aussie WWRY)

I had already listed the below video interview, except, we have both given this interview different title emphisis - but they are in fact the same.

2003 - Sunrise (Maxvision?)- WWRY Australian premiere report with Brian and Roger interviews (also has clips of the Aussie aftershow party with Bri and Rog performing Whole Lotta Love)

Glad to be of service.

It's hard to know what to call radio/television stations when they are from another country. It appears your info is a little more accurate, so I'll change my file names accordingly.

Zeni: ...I'll change my file names accordingly.

Can I just say that whatever title you give your interviews is just as valid as mine.

But WOW!!!

The ultimate in compliments - I thank you very much.

(But I do agree, that standardisation is much easier for everyone else to follow).

Earth and Doing all right were considerably different on the Tim Staffel-Amigo pre-release version than on the final cut.

What are those Wilki? Can you supply more info please?

I know Tim did a version of "Earth" on the Morgan LP - "Nova Solice", but I did not know that he did another version of "Doin' Alright".

Those versions where "work in progress" pre-mixes that were prepared to make some sort of aMIGO medley to promote the album.

By the way, MORGAN album is called NOVA SOLIS. The CD tracklisting is as follows:

2. Alone 5:17
3. War Game 7:03
4. Nova Solis - a suite 20:17
a. Theme
b. Floating
c. Take-Off
d. Asteroids
e. Earth
f. Hyperspace: The Return Home
g. Nova
h. May I Remember

Nice version, nice album. More info at:

so are these official mixes? I cant listen to them now, however I remember that especially Earth sounded a lot different (ie Tim sings vocals where on the final version Brian does). Were this distributed only in mp3-wma form, or it was a special pre-release CD (i think the latter- but i might be wrong here, i am not an audio expert...)

I think that only the medley was pressed to CD, and that the pre-mixes were sent by e-mail (wma) - there should be one of these for every track of the CD, or at least for most of them. But, again, that was only the impression I had years ago. To be sure, we have to ask Tim, if he remembers...
