I actually think it's kinda ironic that so many Queen songs have been used for car commercials and 'I'm In Love With My Car' ain't one of 'em... ... ...I'm wrong, aren't I?
''I'm In Love With My Car'' was used in a recent Jaguar commercial. I never saw it, but it's even advertised on the outside packaging of the ''Greatest Hits'' CD, ''I'm In Love With My Car''..as heard or used in the Jaguar commercials.''
I'm sure Roger would like that one since Jags are fairly pricey, luxury cars like he likes.
''One Vision'' was used recently in a France Renault car commercial.
''Body Language'' was used in the Nissan Altima car commercial here in the USA..which is REALLY ironic when you think about how the video for that song was originally banned and considered so risque in the USA and is now being used in another..yuppie car commercial. (I saw that commercial for the 1st time last night and created a thread...whoops, because I had not seen this thread).
As for Queen's music being used in car commercials, I think we are just more attuned to noticing it because we are Queen fans.
TONS of rock artists are being used for car commercial ads.
Cadillac uses Led Zeppelin's ''Rock and Roll'', really ironic since a cadillac has always been the USA symbol of the car your father would drive to his office, and Zeppelin has always been the image of the rebellious teen or young person.
Buick Lacrosse keeps using Aerosmith's ''Dream On''.
Also ironic that all the yuppie USA car commercials are choosing the real kick ass, almost metal, rebellious, anti-authority rock & roll artists and songs.
ACDC's ''Back In Black'' was on some recent car commercial, I forget which.
I'm just waiting to hear Lemmy and Motorhead on some yuppie car commercial.
