I'd like to take certain .wav files of equal length and create a DVD with 5.1 Dolby Digital sound. The video part doesn't really matter.. I can put anything there of the right length, it's mainly for listening to DTS audio tracks converted to Dolby Digital. (Or is there an easier way to convert?)

So my question is.. is there a simple program that'll take these and turn them into a 5.1 vob file? Or would the 5.1 plug-in for Nero do the trick? (and how can I get it free, LOL).

Yes, that's it. Now I just need to get that plug-in at no cost. Any suggestions? :)

Okay I got the plug-in and now have the option of 5.1 for audio output. The only problem is there isn't any way that I can see to add my files to create the soundtrack. I still only have two audio tracks in NeroVision.

Okay, I've got this figured out now. I was able to extract a DTS mix and save it to a single multichannel .wav. I had a problem with the bass channel being corrupted but fixed that with an upgrade to the latest DVD Audio Extractor (just released in July).

So, I have finally experienced Bohemian Rhapsody in 5.1 sound and it's pretty cool. Believe it or not, NeroVision somehow knows to take the 6 channel wav and put the stuff into the right place in 5.1. That was the test run... now it's time to try it with a complete disc. I shall post my results later.. probably in the Queen section since I'm working with those mixes first.
