I reckon he'll figure it out before you learn to punctuate.

Which gives us years yet.

Maybe because every time the song comes on live, the crowd goes into mass hysteria. Just a thought......

The song did well on American Rock and Roll radio in 1977 but the Brits I suppose didn't want a heavy rock song like that as a hit!

Maybe it's because Brian wrote the song, and he's desparate to make it into a succesful single?

I'm sure someone has better statistics than I do, but I think the "Brian" singles haven't on average been as succesful as the other ones...

Its one of my favourites.
Its a real rocker of a song, and really gets the crowds going. Also, messing around on guitar its a great one to play too ... the solos a bit tough though !

MANY great Queen songs never will be hits and yet, they rock anyway. Don't rip on TYMD. It's a good Brian track!

I think Tie Your Mother Down would've been a bigger hit if it had been switched with Long Away and released in the US...But it's a classic Queen song - even if it didn't get a great chart spot. It's one of the definitive Queen rock songs (and almost nothing beats Roger exploding off his drum stool in the video!) so it makes sense that they'd keep it in the set or on singles...

It is an incredible adrenalin rush of a song. It only made 31 in the U.K. because it was released during punk.

This can't end well.

This song IS a hit......one of the most recognized Queen songs....... maybe it didn't beat out Barbara Streisand then or Britney now but it's not supposed to.....afterall it's a ROCK song and great Rock songs never die............................and way more of a hit than songs they did that charted better and died off like Body Language....
