Rugby is boring, but at least the players are not pussy enough to put tons of pads and helmets like on American football, which is a pathetic sport.

YMLAEN LLANELLI!

Yes, i was at the arms park semi when proctor "did" mark titley, class, made him look like a twat and i was also at the final. Those were the days indeed. hell of a season that. Wasnt that the final where emyr lewis kicked the ball for Ieuan to chase ala the england game. I hate these bloody osprey fans who have sprouted up all of a sudden, convinced that henson is god. didnt do much with the lions did he? well, neither did anyone else.... it was only a fewe years back that llanelli scored 120 odd points in 2 games against swansea, and to think i almost felt sorry for them.

Wasnt that the final where emyr lewis kicked the ball for Ieuan to chase ala the england game. emyr lewis dropped a goal to win the game against neath. i remember neath players whinging, [crying some of them, {adrian varney}] that they had lost and didn't deserve to. oh yes of coarse our players performed in the lions tour, people like shane willaims and henson make me sick. although i did say i'd have hensons children when he kicked the conversion against england. steven jones was 100 x better than henson during the grand slam. why does henson get all the attention? im gonna go to stradey a few times this season, hopefully they will hit some kind of form.

We had a rugby mad PE teacher at school, and every time it rained so PE was cancelled he would sit us down and make us watch the famous Barbarians vs All Blacks game from Jan '73, where Gareth Edwards scored that wonder try after the ball had been passed between half the team. I've brought that game on video since, and still love watching it from time to time. Favourite player - well I used to play full back, so my favourite player was always Andy Irvine, the Scots full back who got 60 odd caps in the '70's. Fantastic kicker who popped up at the end of moves for his fair share of trys.

I'm not into rugby at all - living in New Zealand you either love that it's practically a religion or hate it because you get tired of hearing about it. I fall into the latter category. That said, if there's a big international thing on of course it's All Blacks all the way! And it can be fun drinking beer and watching it with my boyfriend, especially when I can annoy him by asking silly questions every minute or two :-)
