i realise this post is questionable but even if u disagree i hope it creates a healthy debate rather than descending into a childish one as many on this site seem to.

neway my point is that this album is the best queen album. it is basically greatest hits 1 live with a few extras. the weak hot space tracks are transformed into funky rock classics. somebody to love is truely stunning on the album. from a live perspective freddie plays the piano a lot and his voice in great shape and the crowd are in great form. and whilst many would like to see the seventies queen live shows released i think it is in these stadium gigs that the band truely flourishes and freddies showmanship is at its best.

so there u are if u agree then say so and if u disagree please feel free to respond in a fair manner and please can nobody mention the QPR live shows because everyone is bored of them now surely.

It was OK.

Queen was really no better here than in We Will Rock You DVD.

The only highlight of Queen on Fire was the Somebody to love intro. That part was magical.

Somebody to Love is stunning! And I love Action. There is no one that can strut better than Freddie. And I love that skippy thing he does as he kind of floats across the stage. That jacket with the black and white leather streamers hanging down is beautiful. Whenever I watch/listen to Queen, I am caught up in pure entertainment and joy.

Yes, it was a worthwhile experience.

I certainly agree with you.I think it is just fashionable to say that there are better shows once a show is released!!All people here said it deserved a live-release,they did release it and now everyone is complaining there is better stuff!I will be very happy with hammy'79 now.We have it already in great quality but not in such quality like the bowl!!Untill that arrives the bowl will be my favourite live)album

the bowl was a good gig. good but not great. as soemone who was there it seemed a bit 'calculated' and 'clinical' - STL was a great highspot - but it usually is.

i for one, did not want MK Bowl released. i didn't even think it was top of the 'gigs i attended list' let alone - 'all-time' time.

the whole set comes across as funky....and very synthesised.....whereas earlier (and later) gigs sound like real instruments

You're wrong and your spelling is lazy.

Discuss.

Well yet again, I shall join the fray and say, everybody is entitled to an opinion. You know folks, somewhere over on another post, someone didn't know that basses can sometimes have more that four strings.

It just shows you the breadth of opinion on this site. The young feller at the top enjoyed the gig. Fat Bottomed Girls does really rock at this gig, even with the edited Freddie squawk. Somebody To Love is pure grandissimo showmanship.

And any gig with an official release which at this stage increases the fan-base must be welcomed.

So even if someone's spelling IS lazy, it doesn't mean that their opinion doesn't count....

Cheers

Paul

I love Queen on fire. It is fantastic. All those tracks off hot space that aren't bad but not great are changed and i love them. Its a great show. Freddie was in great form and his energy and voice is amazing.

And I agree, Somebody to love is breath taking. So breath taking that it forced me to gasp at the song and say 'you take my breath away'. Get it. I know, very lame but oh well, i couldn't help my self.

Personally i think Queen were on their best form in 81-82. On fire is an example of that form, like We will rock you is.

My opinion was that his/her spelling was poor. All the bleeding hearts on here whining about free speech etc seem to fail to respect MY freedom.

i am sorry for my poor spelling

i realise that spelling truly with an 'E' and only putting 'u' when i meant you and 'neway' instead of anyway made my post nigh on impossible to read and therefore invalidates my point
