I've just got these letters from school saying about getting places for work experience. The thing is, it doesn't all happen until July next year and the deadline to fill out five spaces for places is around Christmas! This will be the thing I've done to do with a job.

I'm currently liking my Media Studies subject, but not sure what to do for work experience. I can't be with my friends(they aren't sure what they're going to do either). Also a disadvantage is my shyness.

If you have any advice, or want to say about what your first work experience was like, then please do.

If payment is not an issue try volunteering somewhere that interests you. Sometimes that can lead to a paid postion but also good for contacts.
