He wasn't popular until Freddie made Queen.
Now he uses Queen with a wrong singer to make money.

You don't need to post a new topic for the same crappy arguments that seem to be plaguing half the threads in the place.

Yes Freddie was Queen. The other 3 did have their input but it was Freddie who had the most ideas about what direction the band should go.

I wouldn't mind getting on the New York Times.. although it would probably be in the OBITS section.. or the "Felon wanted" but to slag Brian for something is just wrong.. oh wait, that is what I am doing now, ok.. so slagging Brian is ok, just not Paul Rodgers, he is cool.. pick on Brian all you want.. he deserves it, Paul is a great man.. unless he is still kicking babies.. ;-)

Just admit it...

You're pissed off because Queen toured Canada.

yesterday i had some troubles with, well, a man called brian may jajajaja
he´s a great musician and a great person, but the new york times took my quote and used it out of context, and that made brian get angry
queen will be always alive, as long as we listen to his music

and believe me, it´s not a funny situation to realized that one of your idols get angry with you, as it hapenned to me

hey! i think you are a teensy bit jealous....
Brian is one of the best guitarist since Jimi Hendrix...Maybe you think that Freddie was Queen, but if there was no Brian May or Roger Taylor or John Deacon, then there wouldnt be any of the music that we love so much.

so yeah...i agree with all the people who disagree with you!

don't i know you from the cinematographer's party?

The fact that Brian not only associates but has befriended a known racist/bigot (Axl Rose) speaks a lot about Brian's "character."

Some of you probably think Pink Floyd ended when Roger Waters or Syd Barrett left and Genesis ended when Peter Gabriel left. BPP, I dare you to slam Pink Floyd without Roger Waters or Syd Barrett and/or Genesis without Peter Gabriel and/or Phil Collins.

Actually, as much as I enjoy Pink Floyd, I honestly think it was more Dave Gilmore than Waters, don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed seeing them together again for Live 8, but it wasn't the same without Syd, same as Queen, it just won't be the same without Freddie, BUT they have the right to continue..

Now Accept without UDO.. that is a different story, NO ONE can replace him.. and I still recall those Die hard ACDC fans that swore that Brian Johnson could NEVER replace Bon Scott, and wound up being BIGGER than Scott could have dreamed.

Styx without Dennis DeYoung is deplorable. Tommy Shaw(the biggest hypocrite if I ever saw one and said he was full of rock music when songs liek Crystal Ball, Sing For the Day and Boat On the River were folk) turned Styx into a nostalgia band. Tommy is a second generation member and James Young is the only original member left. Tommy and JY ruined Styx. What I liked about Styx was their diversity. JY was hard rock, Dennis was the pop/theatre/ballad side and Tommy was rock/country/folk.

Oh yeah, I refuse to see Styx without Dennis, it was the same with Quiet Riot, when Kevin Dubrow was booted out, I actually saw his LAST concert in Hawaii, in 86, that night, or the next he was kicked out of the band, and THEY WERE GOOD that night, then I saw then back in 94 at a BAR in Bay City Michigan, talk about has beens.. he was back and that was his first tour since being kicked out, and he was flicking his FAKE hair around and threatening to stop the show if ppl didn't settle down, thank GOD it only cost me $10.00 to see them.. I still have that ticket stub.. March 12th 1994.. lol.. heck the Support act was about as good as they were.
