I had a falling out with someone recently because they completely misunderstood something I said, I was being sarcastic, just joking and they took offence but I didn't realise til 2days later. Anyway, that and a few other things have just caused me to feel really depressed lately, I can't help it. Everything just seems to be such an effort. I assume everyone else goes through ups and downs like this too? It just feels good to get this off my chest here! I think only time can mend this falling out. So anyone else feeling low?

I know if someone says something that upsets me, I usually tell them that what they said has hurt my feelings. Chances are, the person didn't mean to hurt my feelings, but as an adult, I feel it is my responsibility to let someone know if they've said something to upset me. Your friend really should have let you know sooner that their feelings were hurt. Or they could have asked you to clarify what you said if it rubbed them the wrong way. Just tell your friend that your intentions were not to hurt them in any way.

Everyone does go through ups and downs but it is up to you on how hard you want to make things on yourself. Keep a positive attitude as much as you can. Look at the good things in your life and try not to focus on the negative. You'll see what a difference a good attitude really does make.

Chin up :)

Lol! Thats a good one! thanks to you both. Yeah this person wasn't really a friend, we were not actually close, I worked with her so we were more acquaintances than friends. Its just I never set out to upset or argue with anyone, its so pointless. I'm sure it'll all pass over soon anyway, thanks for listening :-)

Not just because this is a Queenzone bulletin board, but when I am depressed, and I flip a Queen dvd or vhs on, I am always caught up in it, and am thrilled all over again no matter how many times I have seen it. Hopefully medical science will someday have a Queen chip they can implant in my brain.

Yes, it was a worthwhile experience.

Don't know if it'll help but when I'm feeling low I either listen to music, write it off, or sleep it off.

And well, or walk it off/go for a bike ride...but not with the weather like it is now.

I'm sure you'll feel better sooner than later. :-)

One night, a farmer gets drunk. He grabs his wife's boobs and says, If these could give milk, we could get rid of the cows. That poor farmer.

On the same lines, I've got a joke myself:

A jumper cable walks into a bar. The bartender says, "I'll serve you, but don't start anything."
