This is tricky question that has bothered me for a long time!
If Queen would do a tour with ORIGINAL line-up (well, without Fred, of course) would the basist be Deaky or Mike Crose the first basist of Queen?

Deaky is the one and only but not the first basist!

He's the only bassist who's been recorded with them in the studio.

So answer is very simple: no. Otherwise we could say that Freddie must be replaced by Tim - since the first Queen concert (Truro 1970) was billed as 'Smile' and Smile's vocalist from original line-up is Tim Staffel.

I think...you shouldn't let it bother you, since you've got a better chance of Freddie coming back...
