US fans: let's take a poll and see which city may qualify for the first stop on the US tour next year.
I'm thinking Chicago for several reasons; one, nice venue; two, very legendary city for past Queen concerts; three, centrally located and not too far away from anyone's home state (too bad if you live in California).
Next question, of course, is...when? (May would be fitting!)

I second Chicago!! Only 90 miles from Milwaukee-or better yet Milwaukee!!! Paul McCartney kicked off his 2002 fall tour here, Even Queen kicked off the winter leg of the 77/78 (?)tour.

I don't care where---I will be there!!

Chicago ???

What nice venue? They all are underwhelming or outright crappy.

Only nearby Alpine Valley is suitable ... and it happens to be an hour's drive from Chicago, Mllwaukee, Madison & Rockford.

Roger: I like it. If you don't. Sod you!

Brian said the following on his soapbox:

"In the immediate future there seems to be a great demand in the heartland of the USA and I think this the next place we will visit"

Heartland? God, I hope he doesn't mean Oklahoma or Texas! Hope he thinks logistically. Having the first US concerts on either coast was a great idea (nice accomodation of the fans!).
I only wonder: an opening act next tour? I would love to see The Darkness open for them and then come on and do a few songs during the Q + PR (or whomever) set.

I'm surprised we didn't get the usual 'Nashville, TN' as a possible site.

Lisa, will one of your alter egos list that later on?

I got hosed this year, as I have always swore that if Bri, Rog, or any resemblance therein EVER played in the US within driving distance, that I would go.

Of course, it so happened that the weekend of the NJ show was the ONLY weekend of the year that I COULD NOT GO!!!!

That said, they had fucking well better tour next year, or I am going to personally write Brian a nasty note of reprimand!!!

ha!

I don't care where they go in the US..I'm there. But I sure am hopin' for some Southeast dates...especially since Mr. Rodgers is pretty popular with rock fans down here..:-)

I think that Greenville, SC is a possibility. A lot of classic rock acts play there.
