I am a newbie on this site. Just joined 20 minutes ago. Feel like I've come home. Forgive me if this question has been answered, but I couldn't possibly read all of the archives. I used to have two documentary VHS tapes on Queen. My ex got them in the divorce ten years ago. My daughter doesn't remember that she used to watch them and practically had them memorized. I’ve checked around and cannot find anything that rings a bell. Am buying her Christmas DVDs and have “Becoming Queen” and “Magic Moments” on order. I’d just love to find the two that I had before. These were made well before Freddie died. I cannot remember the names, even if you held a gun to my head. Does anybody have a clue what I’m talking about? Heaven knows, I sure don’t.

Well i wouldnt know what your on about unless you get your daughter to explain what she can remember and write it on here and i will tell you what it is, i have 'Becoming Queen' and 'Magic Moments' i ordered that from Woolworths really cheap too. Is it a Freddie Mercury documentry or Queen? Does your daughter remember the design on the cover? Peace x

My daughter can't remember a thing about it. I can't tell you what the covers lookec like. Both were Queen documentaries. One starts out with how they met. Goes through the Japan days. I remember one of the videos had an interview with a guy talking about how the DJ introduced Bohemian Rhapsody by playing snippets throughout the day. It was done because everybody said they couldn't have a song that long on the radio. One of the videos finished up with the group working on "A Kind of Magic." Freddie was getting Roger to hit the drum solo in the middle of "One Vision" in just a certain way.

It's the Magic Years doc you are talking about. It was actually three parts and was available for a limited time in the States. I bought mine circa 1992. The One Vision clip on GVH1 was originally from the Magic Years. http://www.queenpicturehall.com/videos/q08tmy.shtml

Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you! I know I'm going crazy, but I knew that wasn't one of the reasons. The minute I read that it was three parts, it all came back to me as to why I thought I had more than one video. And now, the search begins.

Sorry i wasnt much help, i just did'nt know what you was on about, i have that boxset your on about and 'Classic Queen' too :D Now you're just rubbing it in. Between you and Zeni, I finally have my sanity back. Thanks for your help. Now, explain to me how you get to be blessed with all of those videos and a poor old man who's been following them more years than you've probably been born has to search Amazon to find his lost youth. I knew I should have lived in the UK.
