This time the stage of champions features 2 different versions of a Queen song. One is from Pete Arnold and one from Niek (FriedChicken).

They are both fantastic.

Enjoy:)

Mine is old!

March 2003 something like that?

Ok, from more thorough reading of the forum I learnt that it does take months...
Nice recordings anyway!

Yours was done some time in late 2004/early 2005 if I recall correctly, Niek. At least, that's when you sent me the demo and the final take.

I think mine was originally done in 2002, then I remastered and re-recorded a few bits earlier this year.

pete arnold....your version is really great.
reminds me on some 80s creation-records sound!

Zander, my recording is much older than 2004. I can look up the masters sometime

Cheers! I wanted to try doing something different with it, so I just slowed it right down and made everything acoustic. If you want to have a listen to any of my other stuff, slick on any of the links in my signature.

I like both versions. Niek's is faithful to the original and has fantastic guitar work. Pete takes a different slant, and turns it into a nice acoustic ballad. Great job.

Yours is pretty damn fine Niek - I love the layered guitars in the solo
