I know he built his own guitar because he didn't had money to buy a Gibson or a Stratocaster.

And later he said he couldn't play anything else because he was so used to the thick neck of his own guitar that it was almost impossible to play on an other guitar

I can understand that, it's tough to manuever around when you're used to a specific guitar like his Red Special. It is cool, though, to see Brian use a different guitar, like the Telecaster in CLTCL, and also that guitar in Princes Of The Universe, forgot what it was called lol, somthin like the Ax or Flying V or something :p

But if Brian's comfortable with his Red Special, I'm sure we're cool with it. I know I am
