It is a horriffic song.

Just terrible. It is only the fact that Queen did it that makes it even remotely listenable.

It came out in 1984. Do some research and find out what it was up against.

Did Queen ever make a music video for it?

As corny a song as it is - 'I Dream Of Christmas', the alternate holiday song, would have been a MUCH better choice - I always imagined a decent video for it:

The band are huddled around their instruments in old time London, kind of like in A Christmas Carol, and snow is falling and the band are singing the song as a carol. Would have been a very heartwarming "awww" moment.

Although I suppose with 'I Dream Of Christmas', you could've added the kid's chorus as additional sentimental treacle. Hmm...

Yeah, definitely one of those Bing Crosby moments: "Say, who's at the door? Oh, it's my good friend David Bowie, let's sing 'Peace On Earth', eh?"

oh gawd - I had totally forgotten about that.

"Why, sure, David - I'm hip to the music you young people go for these days ... I even occasionally groove on those Rolling Stones!"

My holiday season won't be complete now til I see that clip.

Winter's Tale I always thought was a much better song, christmas-wise.... Atmosphere and ambience if not for the sentiment behind it.

If I'm right in saying, it was re-released in 1995 as a b-side to the Winter's Tale song.

I LOVE that song. One of my favorite Christmas songs and I think Queen wrote and recorded a new Christmas classic song for our generation.

All the radio stations were playing it last year on Christmas day and it brought a smile to my face.

I think it's ok. My sister really likes it and so does my dad.

It's not as good as Mariah Carey's one though!
