In Mott The Hooples "all the young dudes"written by Bowie,it references alot of rock stars and bands.Is the Freddie reference our Freddie?Just wondering.

I always assumed it was - as this was either the same time - or just before the big Queen - Mott support tour.

just like when they mention trex, the stones and the beatles, david never meant them when he wrote the song, he was thinking of different bands whith the same name, just not as popular
