Probably not the best Queen song, but I always thought Machines would've made a brilliant video. Since it's along the lines about humans vs. machines, I always pictured a video that took place in the future, in a factory that actually manufactured pop stars (yes a more literal interpretation of the musical, but believe me, I had this idea long before The Eye of We Will Rock You came out). Anyway, in this factory, the machinery (can you dig it?) is controlled by computers with software long-since programmed by marketing execs with the intent to make as much money with as less talent as possible. One day, a 'special' virus gets uploaded on the hard drives and instead of creating pop stars, the machinery actually create Queen! Listen to the song, you'll notice there's two sections - a synth-rock sound and a heavy rock sound. Basically, what happens is that each time the synth part plays, the machinery do what they're supposed to do, i.e. create [insert country] Idol artists, but when the rock parts kick in, they go haywire and start producing moustaches, buck teeth, permed hair, clogs, sunglasses, etc. Eventually, Queen become self-aware then destroy the factory and ride off into the sunset.

Any other video ideas for other songs?

Was It All Worth It.

Ride The Wild Wind.

The Show Must Go On (an ACTUAL video would've been lovely!)

Rain Must Fall- Freddie striding around WImbledon perhaps in his tennis shorts playing mixed doubles with Sue Barker before event organiser John Deacon beckons them off for rain.

Speaking of Queen videos, remember when they made MIH videos for the recent album?

I never saw any of them,(except for the compilation Too much love will kill you.)
but what I read from the net sites, none of them had images of freddie adn Queen in it.

I wonder what they would've been like if Freddie were still alive and they were in them instead.

I'll get back to you on that.

Was anyone else a bit disappointed with GVH1? I was because most of the stuff was just them on stage, not like IWTBF or TIM where it is like a mini-film, do you know what I mean?

Most videos were like that in the seventies. I like many of their stage videos, such as Save Me and Bohemian Rhapsody.

Fat Bottomed Girls on the contrary, is IMHO very bad. Too dark, not good shots of the band. Only a few shots of Brian and John (John is almost invisible in the video). A piece of shit, if you ask me. They could do something nice (just as the song title), but it turned out to be very different and not right for me. Sadly.

It was one of the first, but I'm not really sure. Good question.

Does anyone else find the video for Radio Ga Ga a little ironic?

..back to the beginning topic..
I think "Seaside Rendezvous" would have made a fabulous video. It's just a fun song, and the way Freddie sings it so comically, would have made for an awesome video. Can you imagine the outfits they would have worn?! It would have been fantastic...
Or perhaps, maybe, Let Me Entertain You. I wasn't around for their concerts, so even a concert video of him singing/interacting with the crowd would have been SMASHING. *sigh*

I always thought ICLWY would have been cool. At the "Try to catch a dream" line I thought Freddie could catch something flying past then at the "But nothing's what it seems" line he could open his hand and it would have disappeared.

I think Brian should have recorded a studio version of this song as it was originally for BTTL.
