I know this is gonna sound kinda silly, but would it be stupid for me to go with someone I am not attracted to, but is CRAZY about me. There is this guy that I have been friends with for a really long time (I started a topic on him a while back) and we've been friends for like three years. I am no way attracted to this guy, but he is really attracted to me. As for any one else, there is none out here, I feel like I'm living in a waste-land or something (no men, etc) but do you guys think its right or wrong to just go ahead and be with someone that you're not really "feeling" like that just to make them "feel better?"

Discuss!

Bad idea.

The way I see it is you have two choices: you can punch him in the head (tell him off), or you can give him cancer (try to make it work for as long as you can, only to end up in an inevitable failure).

If you punch him in the head, he'll be hurt - really hurt. But the fact is, he'll get over it. He'll heal and get on with life.

However, if you give him cancer, he won't even notice it at first. He'll think his life's going absolutely fine until he reaches some complications. Despite the complications, he'll trudge on through. They'll just get worse and worse, his struggles in vain, only to meet an inevitable demise.

Now, what are you gonna do?

P.S. Love should be a mutual thing - that's why it's love and one of the best things in the world. If it is not felt by both sides, it is nothing but a sham.

Well... to be honest; I've been there. And I advice you not to do it.
Since you know him very long already, you know for a fact that even if you DO go further with him, you will never be IN love with him.
Unless you are a total sado-masochist or something; relaqtionships like that WILL eventually not last. Maybe you have made him happy for a couple of years, but when you break up he will feel significantly more hurt then he feels now, now he just can not get you.
