Also, maybe I just didn't notice in Worcester, but last night both Paul and Brian had some "funky" looking guitars for CLTCL. Brian changes his midway...and we didn't get a photo of these unfortunatley... but they had a unique body to them.

Will you tell us more about these guitars please Niek? What makes them more able to get the sound wanted in CLTCL?

I saw one of these things in a guitar shop once (didn't get to play it, though). They are basically electric guitars, but somehow they sound like acoustics. I think they use them for CLTCL because they look cool, and being electric they are easier to use, just plug-em in instead of mic-ing them.

I also think they chose them because they look cool. You can also plug in those semi-acoustic guitars they used on stage in tours after 1979. I think they used Martin guitars, but i'm not 100% sure

Just think, in two weeks it'll be exactly a year since they started using these guitars.

In that time there have been at least three threads on here, plus one official and one unofficial DVD featuring them, in addition to the dozens of pics.

The main benefit is the fact they don't suffer from feedback, which Electro-accoustic guitars do in live situations, this is due to the resonance created in the hollow body of a normal guitar.

These have no body, hence very little feed back, unless you stand next to the amp that is!

Nothing mindless about telling the uninformed that they're uninformed. In fact, wouldn't it be ruder to allow them to continue as such?
