I think I'm probably imagining this but every time I watch Hammer to Fall at Live Aid, I notice this lyric is seemingly missed by Freddie,

"Build your muscles as your body decays yeah"

Brian plays a high note on the guitar as if they planned this. It seems totally plausible they would take this lyric out because of the subject of the day being starving children in Ethiopia.

Anyone shed any light on this?

You could be right, but Freddie was playing around with the cameraman. I think that this is the reason for omitting the words.

I doubt if Freddie knew what was going on with all that Live Aid stuff :P

Kinda stupid to take issue with a comment that has a very obvious ":P" on the end of it. But hey, who's complaining! :P

I'm sure Freddie was just as aware as most of the other acts that day. I imagine Brian being more inquisitive hence realising one of the lyrics in his song may be perceived as unsensitive towards the subject matter of the day.

I can see how it might offend someone who was oversensitive, but I don't really think that's why they dumped it surely.
I mean, you'd have to be one of those people who thought Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds stood for L.S.D to take offence at this lyric.
