The show was Awesome. Good Crowd. Pretty Full. The band was hot.
I can't wait for St. Paul!!!
The highlights for me were: Dragon, Pressure, Ga Ga and All Right Now. The crowd really got into Ga Ga and All Right. Brian seemed to really appreciate the reception! As did Roger and Paul. All seemed very happy and encouraged, proud, confident. No mistakes(big ones). Brian used a back up (red special) guitar a couple of times. My friend who went, not a Queen fan, had a great time. He was REALLY impressed.
GREAT SHOW!!!!

Highlights for me, Let There be Drums, I'm in Love with my Car, the Guitar Solo, All Right Now, We Will Rock You, and Under Pressure.

Behind the stage was of course empty, but the upper deck was over half full. I would gueses it was over 85 % full.

I would say the crowd was very good. There was at leasat one time that Paul stepped away from th mike to let the crowd sing. The crowd was especially loud during the second half of the concert.

Overall a very enjoyable evening that exceeded my cynical expectations.

Roger: I like it. If you don't. Sod you!

WOW! Great show!

Under Pressure, Dragon Attack and Tie Your Mother Down were the highlights for me! The crowd sang along well, and did a pretty decent job at Love of My Life.

Chicago Rocks!

Here are some pictures I took..

Excellent Pics - I enjoyed the way you've captured the ambiance of various effects from the light show. Cool !

Gosh darn, that was such a pleasant surprise. I was so moved and so exhausted by the end of the show. I am amazed at these guys, yeah Roger Taylor shows a bit of age but his voice is and drumming are a force that time has not affected. This was a show so fresh I felt like a kid again. They had better work on an album because there is certainly something there and they need to tap into it.

I got a text from Erin and Pieter this morning. They didn't have any internet access in their hotel in Chicago. They said the show was awesome and the crowd rocked. They are on their way to Detroit now.

I'm glad it was a success. Chicago is a great town, great people.

IT ROCKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I loved it. I have been a Queen fan for along time and I finally got a chance to see them. It's not the same without Freddie, but Paul Rogers did an awsome job! I spent the whole night on my feet singing and dancing.

I drove from St Lousi also. Man... I haven't been in a concert for years, and this was the first (sadly, maybe last) time I had ever seen Queen. How do I rate something that I always wanted to see, yet never thought I would? This was an incredible experience in my life. Queen (especially brian may) been such a major influence in my life. When they were taking their bows during God Save the Queen... all I could think of was the word "thanks." I have been through the crapper as of late... but this made me forget about all of my problems, everything... and for a few hours... I enjoyed life again.
Thanks Queen. Thanks to the fans to were on their feet shouting... Keep Rocking!!!

Karen and I drove from St. Louis as well, and what a show! Well worth the 5 hours in a car, the $7.00 for a pack of smokes in Chicago, the snow after the show....and going broke buying merchandise! Brian was in great form, Roger never better and Paul was awesome!
I gotta ask Bigten and The Classic...why haven't you guys been to Breakthru?? We've been to every one and it is a weekend you'll never forget.

Brian... I would love to go, but for some reason, I have never been able to go. Is it (or has it) ever been in St. Louis? One thing, I haven't been paying that much attention to it... but man, are my eyes open now! Later my St. Louis brotha...

John,
Breakthru has always been in Cleveland except for one year when it was in Dallas. Before Breakthru was organized, there were Royal Vision conventions...I never attended any of those because I never knew about them. But I gotta tell ya, Breakthru is awesome. A weekend of nothing but Queen...Queen music, Queen videos, Queen memorabilia, Queen swap meets...and the folks you meet quickly become dear friends.
Check out this link: www.queenbreakthru.com
and check it out. Would really like for more St. Louis people to show up. We have people from all over the world attending. Give it a thought!
Brian

I was there in Chicago and IMO the crowd looked to be about 90% full. I was shocked, GREAT turn out!

Highlights for me, "dragon attack", "under pressure", "we will rock you" (I didn't know they started it with the album beat and lead into Roger playing it.)

Got that great silver/black tour shirt too.

The crowd was pretty into it I must say and on the way home, as I was thinking about clapping to "Ga Ga", shouting " we will rock you!", I got choked up. It was an experience I'll never forget.
