Hey all,

I was at the Milwaukee show, and a friend of mine asked me what the film footage being played during 'Days of our Lives' was all about.

Other than telling her it was taken during one of Queen's trips to japan, I could offer little else. Does anyone out there know anything more about what the occasion was, or what was going on that is depicted in the footage? It almost looks like some kind of ceremony...any info would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Queen's first time in Japan. In 1975. They had a picknick. A royal welcome indeed :-).

They held a press-conference and they also received awards.

They were there during the Sheer Heart Attack tour.

It was a tea ceremony. This footage was filmed during the first Queen tour in Japan in 1975. Some bits of this video is avalable in some documentary films (Magic Years/Champions of the world, etc). It's in color originaly.
P.S. Rick you got me :)
