Anaheim is pretty far from downtown L.A. If you want to party hard and not have to drive, either hire a limousine or consider staying in one of the hotels right next to the arena in Anaheim on the night of the show. I think there is at least one hotel within walking distance. Sorry I'm not more helpful, but enjoy the show!

I would advise using tripadvisor.com. This site is very helpful to me when I travel.

I just started a concert thread in their forum section - we will see if anyone replies.

(My questions on the forum were: Any suggestions of hotels within walking distance of Arrowhead Pond? Any suggestions for ground transportation to and from downtown LA?)

Just got the first response from the Anaheim forum on tripadvisor.com (that was fast - maybe the response was from someone who works at the hotel?):

"There is an Ayres Hotel directly across the street from the Pond - that's easily walking distance! :)

Suggestions for ground transportation to/from downtown depend on where in particular you're planning to go, and what you're planning to do.

Generally, if you're staying at the Ayres across from the Pond, it's easy walking distance to the Anaheim train station, where you can either Metrolink (commuter train) or Amtrak (typical passenger train) to Union station, which is the east side of downtown LA. If you wanted to get to the financial district, for example, at Union Station you'd transfer to a Red Line subway train."

I'm going to Anaheim too! I have a single 5th row seat :) If there's a party or something beforehand it would be great to know about since unfortunately my friend backed out and I'll be there by myself!

So where in the Ayres hotel is the meeting spot? Should I just look for a group of people with queen shirts on?

The Ayers Hotel does not have a restaurant.

I found a restaurant online that is across from Arrowhead Pond, called J T Schmid's Brewhouse.

They actually have the Queen concert listed on their restaurant calendar!
