Oh my God... this song is absolutely so beautiful it deserves it's own thread, don't you think? Yes, you do.

It's not one of my favourites but I think it does deserve a thread hehe. It's a great song though, so much going on there.

Yep this song is a beauty-and to this end its one I've requested when I shuffle from this mortal coil (at my age these things are much more real than some of you younger Queenies-no patronization here just me old!!) Along with a Dusty Springfield record (Think I'm Going Back). Maudlin I know but ever since my first play of Queen II this has probably been one of the tracks for me that stand out from a standout album-oh brought it when released and when I was at senior school-See I'm old...............

Some day one day....we'll come home

Yep... I think Brian has the magic going here. Everybody talks about how Freddie was the genius behind Queen, I disagree with that. I believe Brian was just as big, especially in the beginning of their career, than Freddie. I am a complete guitar freak, and I owe it all to the creative genius of Brian May. Freddie has the voice, and the performance, but Brian has the AX, and an awesome performance also. Remember, to be a rock band, you gotta have some nice guitar. I cant picture Freddie being as awesome as he was with say.. Keith Richards as Queens Guitarist. Ace Frehley? Nope. Eric Clapton? Nope...he's got the blues, but he cant rock like bri. The list continues...

Who is that "Freddie" dude, that keeps being mentioned in so many posts? An unknown member of Queen? Wasn't he the one with the pink shirt at the Wembley concert 1986? So many questions...

The BBC version is infinitely better ... the guitar and piano counterpoint during the instrumental interlude is magnificent.

Roger: I like it. If you don't. Sod you!

Doh... sorry I put the "Y" instead of the "IE." Even though it is pronounced the same, I understand the magnitude of my mess up. I've been watching a lot of A Nightmare of Elm films lately...between that, a lack of sleep, I might make a boo boo or two!

Truly a one of a kind! I always feel happy for those who discover it for the first time. It is yet another piece of evidence supporting the fact that Queen's best music, for the most part, are non-single, album tracks!

It's amazing when done live as well!

Yes White Queen is a classic track and in some ways could even be considered in the same league as "Stairway to heaven" if it was very famous song.
