...I wanted to let you all know that Bob's mum Maureen passed away at 8:00 am this morning. I know that alot of you will remember that Maureen developed a cancerous brain tumor last June. She has had some very bad times in the past months, and some very good times. Recently, she had been holding her own. Bob had spoken to her on Easter Sunday and she was plucky enough...well, Bob phoned me yesterday evening and told me he was on his way to the hospital, that his mother had developed an infection, and things were not looking good. It turns out that there was a leak in her bowel that they were unaware of, and she lost her fight this morning.

This was one grand special lady who loved life. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her.

RIP Maureen...

Thanks for telling us, Janet. We all knew about her brave attitude. Having lost a close relative to cancer I know how it feels for Bob. I hope he finds the strength he needs in the knowledge that he did all he could to make her life enjoyable as long as it lasted.

Bob. I don't really know you, but I'm very sad to hear this. I wish you and your family a lot of strength in this terrible period. I know how it feels.. it feels like the clouds will hide the sun forever. But believe me.. the pain will disappear and the good memories will last forever. Be strong!

RIP Maureen...

Janet, thank you for the news.

Even if it is sad news, it is much appreciated!

Bob, if you (ever) read this, I wish you strength and of course I feel with you and the ones among you.

Look back to the good times, look back to what was. You shall not forget all her sides, of course, and her struggle was not easy, in many ways, not only her illness, I think.
We're with you in thoughts and hope to chat you again sooner or later.

Another fantastic posting of a wonderful person!

My condolences, Bob.

I lost a good friend to cancer 2-1/2 years ago (albeit breast cancer in this case), so I know how you are feeling.

Janet, thank you for telling us.

I was dreading this day for Bob. I always told him I thought she'd beat this, and she did in her own way. All through this, she was very much in charge. She is in a better place, although we all wish she were still here to light up everyone's lives she touched. She was indeed a wonderful lady in every sense of the word and she raised a wonderful, wonderful son in Bob.

Bob, my thoughts are totally with you. You know how to reach me hun, please, take care.

This is such sad news. It may seem weird, but I prayed for her everynight. I just hope Bob and his family are doing alright. They'll be in my prayers now. :-(

As sad as this is, I'm glad she's not suffering anymore.

Rest in peace.

My deepest sympathy to Shreky.

It must be a painful moment, but despite the grief we should all remember that at times like this our loved ones are in a better place no longer going through any sort of pain.

Terribly sorry to hear this. Be strong, chum.

Hoping you'll return to QZ some day. The place isn't the same without you.
