Yep, finally did it after a very hard and stressful year. I'm pretty happy and proud. Anyone have some graduation memories?

I thought the hat was annoying, mine kept falling off, I never knew what happend to mine as we all threw ours up and I never bothered to find it again, I did get the tassel (what ever it is called) off of it before hand, only cool thing about the hat.

A teacher had to pin everyone's on because they were all loose. I could have done without the hat too, lol. It was pretty cool I guess. We graduated at the Biloxi Coliseum, the same place I saw Van Halen...I will probably go to the community college down here for two years and a job and get some idea of the real world, whatever it is. Thanks you guys!!

I highly recommend attending a community college, Kayla. Honestly, I think attending one was the best decisions I've made thus far for various reasons.

I second that...

A lot of spoiled rotten rich kids who go to private schools consider community colleges as "ghetto" or "low class", but the truth is that the level of education at many community colleges is as good, or in some cases even better then the ones from the average private school.

I went for 2 years to a community college and the education I received there was even better than what I received at the private school I went to after graduation.

Btw... CONGRATULATIONS KAYLA!!

I've never heard anything negative about community colleges. I went straight to a university after graduating from high school, infact I took my freshman english class immediately in the summer after high school graduation because I knew there would be a tremendous amount of papers due. I went for the next four years, summers included so I could earn my degree. It got exhausting but was well worth it. I wish you nothing but success in the years to come Kayla. Congratulations!!!!

"An instructor once told me that statistics have shown that students who have attended community colleges do better at 4-year colleges than students who go straight to 4-year colleges. The explanation for this is that community college students are much more prepared for what is expected of them than 4-year college students."

Students at a 4 year school typically have other things to worry about than do those at a community college - namely Dorm life and all its "benefits." Unfortunately, not every college student is mature enough to handle college life and I've seen too many students blow through mom's and dad's money trying to be an adult.

Congrats, Kayla. Whatever your future holds, best of luck.

Congratulations, Kayla and Alli. I have no idea what AA and community college are but I hope you all have the chance to learn whatever you want. In my country colleges and universities are all public, so we are all equally exposed to overcrowded lectures and classes but I think it's always up to the student to make the most out of the college years. No school can hurt an intelligent person :)
