According to Artists Direct, a "teenaged" Brian played with this band before hooking up with Roger. What I was wondering is are there any known recordings of his collaborations with this band. And what songs did they do?

Brian May did not play with 'The Others', but he did attend the same grammar school as the band.

He did play with one of 'The Others' - Pete 'Wooly' Hammerton, and yes, a recording does exist - but it is very poor quality.

Ad Hoc Trio: Unreleased Live Shepperton Rowing Club Winter 1965

Not a 1984 performance, but rather an ad-hoc trio comprising:

Brian May - Bass guitar/ vocals,
Pete 'Woolly' Hammerton ('The Others') - Guitar/ vocals,
Richard Thompson (1984) - drums.

Poorest of all 1984/Brian May recordings, Brian plays bass guitar only (and not the famous 'Red Special), but cannot clearly be heard. Valued £1,000, Christies April 1996.

'I'm Taking Her Home' and 'Oh Yeah' were the respective B-side, and A-side of 'The Others' 1964 Fontana 7" single release.

Actually, to be honest - I don't have a copy - sorry.

But I have heard it - and believe me, it's not anything to write about. It must be the only gig I know of, where the bass was not plugged in!
