A 50 year old guy on norway has been sent to prison for 18 days, since he refused to lower the volume on his stereo a lot of times (nighttime). The neighbours went crazy when they couldn't sleep.
One neighbor said this:
-One night when I went to the closet I felt that Freddie Mercury was singing right into my ear, that was the volume for that time. My neighbour definetly played too loud.

Wouldn't it be nice to hear Freddie if you went to the closet in the middle of the night...

Oh, he's not in there anymore. Only Tom Cruise and Justin Timberlake are left, and I don't have a itch to hear either of them sing.

Ooo. But my brother played "Greatest Hits I" over and over and over and over yesterday. I went stark raving mad. Much more than slightly. I said "you are starting to make me dislike Queen." But we can thank Alice Cooper who played "Liar" on the radio and I fell in love again.

I even offered to let him borrow Queen II or News of the World. But NO. He must listen to GHI until I am forced to commit a nasty act of violence.

What are siblings for? My sis used to do that when she was in her "Gangta Rap" phase....I hated that too! Luckily, I went to college....WHERE I HEARD THE SAME THING OUT OF EVERY DORM ON THE FLOOR!! She'd have never played anything good like Queen...just the nasty, evil, makes you wanna take a shower after you hear it rap.
Thank goodness for quite apartments....

I blast my music all the live long day, mostly in the mornings while Im getting ready, and my neighbours never complain, and I live in a TOWNHOUSE, what a poor guy who got sent to jail, and what pricks his neighbours are, but he should have lowered it a bit if the complained, out of common curtesy.

Alice also played 'Stone Cold Crazy'... he seems to enjoy the less popular hits.

This is the original text.

The neighbours got tired: ” as that Mercury stood in the room next to”
the Norwegian Hans Jacob Strai, 50, twisted up the volume on stereon to maximum.
Now he has been sent to 18 days' prison in order to have disturbed the neighbours.
The angry neighbours got tired when Strai refused to lower the music. The police broke up the door and confiscated his stereo. Strai threatened a neighbour and an insulted female police when she would take his stereo.
And yesterday Strai was sentence to 18 days' prison and to paying 5000 norwegian krones in legalaction costs of Aust-Agder district court.
- I call for a boundary for how high one man can play in its apartment, says Strai, that lives in Staubø in southern Norway, to Agderposten.
The neighbours are substantially tired both on Hans Jacob Strai and on his stereo.
- periodically has it been entire vilt. A night when I were on WC where it was like Freddie Mercury stood in the room next to and sang for full neck, says the bits Petter Halvorsen to the daily.
It is the first time an imprisonment is judged to someone in order to have disturbed second night torpor in Norway.
