I like them. I got into them when i ordered a Paul McCartney CD from the Internet and a Rolling Stones CD was in its case. Some sort of mix up in the ordering or something. But i kept it... and i ended up listening to it.

Roger Taylor said "...No one is as old as Mick Jagger" during the Magic tour.
That was 1986!! He's ancient now!! Maybe he should go on a holiday or something.

Oh yes, I really like the Rolling Stones. Among my favourite songs are 'Satisfaction', 'The Last Time', '19th Nervous Breakdown', 'Jumping Jack Flash', 'Time Is On My Side', 'Get Off My CLoud', 'Ruby Tuesday' and 'Brown Sugar'

Sorry, but I think they suck big time. Paint it Black and Don't Stop (is that song called so?) are in my opinion the only exceptions..

That's the same when people only like boring queen hits such as we will rock you or radio gaga ,
listen to their albums and judge then!

The Stones made brilliant albums with brilliant songs....How much as I do like Queen I can be objective enough to notice that Queen only made a couple of really great records....And even nowadays The Stones are way bigger than Queen ever was...

I love Queen but I am not a silly queenzoner who thinks that Queen is the best thing that music ever saw....

I like them, but I think that Queen should be as big over here in the state as they are!!! I think their a bit overrated, but I do like some of their songs, would consider getting their greatest hits....the song 'Brown Sugar' is a bit offensive....mmmmmmmmmm :<

I just never have understood WHY the Rolling stones were more popular over here in the states than Queen....never understood it...I actually do like the RS, but Queen was way more hella-talented then them....at least in my opinion.

I tell my friends all the time, and people in general, that YOU DO NOT HAVE TO HAVE A GOOD VOICE to have a hit song, album, etc. And I always thought that Mick had/has an okay voice, but it didnt even compare to Freddies!!!!! I'm like, okay, the states reject Queen because their a 'gay band?' THATS THE MOST STUPID SHIT THAT I HAVE EVER EVER EVER HEARD!!!! So what if the lead singer was gay....they were still talented, and just because he was gay, it doesnt make the other three homosexuals!!!! And Mick was bi himself, so I dont understand WHY they excepted the stones, but not Queen????

The States Accepted Queen for a long time, but after the game Queen only made mediocre albums (with some wonderfull songs but no total albums like the early ones) ...except for Innuendo...and Queen never toured the States after '82. Those two things don't help...

See, I never never even understood why they were 'medicore?' They had great songs, on the works, and even hotspaces, in my humble thought...
I seriously always thought it was the gay factor, from what I read at least

I'll never understand that....

I do not like the Rolling Stones. On a musical level, I think that their music is a total rip off of black music that came out 10 years earlier. I am not aware that they really contributed anything original to music, and their songs are ridiculously repetitive to the point of being indolent. I also do not see any signs of exceptional musical talent from any of the band's members.
Some people also act like Mick Jagger was a great performer. Maybe he was, but compare his performance to Freddie Mercury at Live Aid, and there is little doubt as to who the truly great entertainer was.

Amen to Fat Queen Pig. Queen's music was/is superbly constructed. The Rolling Stones' music showed no imagination and was designed only to stimulate our most base instincts.

On a musical level, Queen leaves most other bands in the dust. From my perspective, the only other bands which showed any level of consistent creativity and musical excellence were the Beatles and Pink Floyd.

I personally cant stand them, I hate the way they sound so scrappy, like they have took no care over the guitar tone and everything sounds so messy. Any Mick Jaggar in my opinion is the most over-rated singer along with axl rose and shaun ryder! I think thats why I love queen so much, everythings precise and accurate and so well sung!

You can't judge a band who made music for more than 40 years by listening to one lousy greatest hits album...Queen is also more than the platinum collection...

Still Queen only gets judged by those recording GH I II and III by none Queenfans. So you can't expect but the same of Queenfans that aren't Rolling Stones fans in that matter.

I don't agree
you CAN expect people to listen to other records than greatest hits...Actually a lot of people do this...Like most normal people, people judge if they know enough about the topic...I can't stand it when some nerd on a forum has an opinion about a band when he only heard 1 procent of their songs...If you make a point you have to come with decent arguments....

You need to listen to :-

Let It Bleed,
Stripped,
Stickey Fingers,
or Some Girls

....if you don't like any of them then you there's probably something wrong with you.

It's difficult to compare Queen with the Stones though coz they are very different.

I'm with u my friend
you forgot

Beggar's Banquet
Exiles on main street

The Stones are the greatest rock act alive, and one of the greatest bands in music history, they know how to play Blues, Reggae (check Black and Blue), amazin band, and i've to say this, check "Can you hear music", i think that this song influenced a little to Brian May, check the guitar work.

And well, for all this people who said that they suck, well, almost the entire band in the world after the stones were influenced by them,, so they are somethin special
peace

Here's what I think : meh.

Some of their songs are good, I think, like that one about wild horses dragging him away (ha-ha, sorry, can't remember the title, is it Wild Horses?) but I don't find most of their catalogue interesting enough to bother pursuing further.
Believe me I have tried to get into their music, it just... bleh, Mick Jagger just isn't a good enough singer to keep me interested.

I wouldn't be the first person to notice that "One Vision" might've borrowed a bit from "Start Me Up", would I?
