I watched this the whole day when it was on and i also signed the two online petitions.

I really hope Sir Geldof will keep these events coming because it really brings awarness to a pretty out of touch (overall anyways) generation. (which sadly i am apart of, but im a bit more aware than most i suppose)

Geldof is one of the men i revere the most for his works.

If the world had more aware people like him, then maybe we wouldnt be in such the mess we are now...
Is this the world we created? I'm afraid it is...

I was in Bury for my cousin's wedding at the time of Live 8 so I missed it. Who were the best and worst performers?

The worst was Mariah "Im gonna plug my new single here" Carey. She forgot why she was there. Cant stand her now

BEST IN LONDON: Pink Floyd
BEST IN PHILLY: Bon Jovi
BEST IN PARIS: Muse
BEST IN BERLIN: Green Day

Coldplay, Mariah Carey, Madonna and Robbie Williams sucked.

Sadly enough, I bought the boxset earlier this year, but only for some of the better artists (mainly Pink Floyd, but Macca as well)

did anyone manage to record the documentary last nite? the "live 8-the difference a day can make"?

im after that but i cant find it :(

It wasnt so much a documentary, more a brief highlights of the day show. It showed about a minute of most of the acts that were on that day. Not worth checking out at all imho. If you are intent in looking for this, then I suggest you try down your nearest store and buying the boxed set dvds. It is for charity after all.....

A lot of people seemed to critisize velvet revolver that day, i thought they were alright, ok not as good as they could be but even so. I think pink floyd were amazing that night! so was def leppard in philly!

In as much as I only ever watch Queen from ol' Live Aid, I only really watch the Pink Floyd portion of Live 8. They were really the best and most interesting thing that day.
