Has this happened to anyone else? I am flabbergasted that this happened. I would have gotten it today.

According to the USPS web site, it was sent to Arlington Heights, Illinois! Nobody was home to accept delivery so they left a notice.

Ok, IL is TWO states away from me. My zip code and that city's aren't even remotely similar neither are the city's names! I only put my own address in at HMV's site once, how in the sam hell could they get them confused?

I sent HMV a very strongly worded e-mail but that's all I can do right now. The US post office is closed until Sunday but I do have the phone number for the post office in that town though what they can do about it, I'm unsure.

I hope whomever lives at that address is a decent person and realizes it was sent to the wrong address and refuses delivery.

I am so angry right now.

Ouch :(

They've served me well for over two years.. never a single problem, honestly. Granted, until recently they used Fed Ex instead of 'EMS' so that might have something to do with it.

I don't see how that could happen except they must have accidently swapped labels with another customer or something.

I'm really sorry that happened but I'm sure they'll make good on it.. the extra waiting sucks though. Keep us posted...

I don't see how it could happen either. I suppose I could HOPE they simply put the wrong tracking number on my package but regardless, HMV have shown such idiocy that I will never do business with them again.

Yes Hadrian, it's region-free and NTSC. I think they knew there would be interest in other countries ;)

Some Japanese-exclusive Queen DVDs are region 2 encoded though:

We Are The Champions: Final Live in Japan
Jewels
Rock Legend Stage-1 & 2 (these are really cheesy documentaries made up of footage stolen from other documentaries and poorly narrated)

I bought those and had to make decrypted copies before I could play them on my regular DVD player. You can generally find a way to play any disc on a PC though ;)

Edit: The Karaoke Hits DVD is also region-free.

After many phone calls and e-mails, I did eventually get it all straightened out and the DVD found it's way here I'm happy to say.

(and yes, the DVD played just fine on my Sony US player for those still doubting.)
