Does this exist? For as long as I have been a fan of the band (since 1983) it appears that the same old generic statistic for the band's album sales has been bandied about (usually in the order of c 80 million albums).

Are there any official EMI statistics available which would prove that this statistic is way off the mark? In my reckoning the use of this statistic is due to journalistic laziness? From my own andecdotal and observational research I can see that Queen albums are still flying off the shelves.

Any serious statistics (referenced) welcome...

They've sold over 250 millions of Queen records. But I agree - we need to know EMI stats. It'd be more reliable.

I know the US sales are 34 or so million albums.

Queen, SHA, FG, The Works, AKoM, Innuendo and MIH each have sold 500,000
ADATR, Jazz, Elektra Greatest Hits, LAWS, Queen Gold(GH I and II) and The Platinum Collection each sold a million copies Stateside.
Live Killers has sold 2 million copies Stateside
ANATO and Classic Queen are at 3 million copies Stateside
NOTW and The Game are 4 million copies Stateside
Hollywood GH is 8 million copies.

The only albums not certified are Queen II, The Miracle, Queen at the BBC(released in the US in 1995), Live Magic(released in the US in 1996), Queen Rocks, GH III, GH(WWRY edition) and Queen On Fire Live At the Bowl.
