I was just wondering to myself today, what other bands do Queen fans like? I'm always eager to listen to something a bit different, thought this would be a good way.

No point in putting obvious bands, the ones that are always lumped in with Queen. At the moment I'm liking Wolfmother.

Also, any Queen fans in bands of thier own? Id be interested in listening to your stuff too.

I do a bit of drumming. Not in a band at the moment. Use to cover bands like Oasis, U2(not my choice!), Verve etc.

I'm listening to the new Muse CD right now - got to say it's excellent, definite Queen influence in there too.

Jonny Lang is amazing, Buddy Guy, Placebo, Bowie, Proclaimers, Jethro Tull, and The Beatles. They're all great.

Some think I am nuts, but Rufus Wainwright is the closest thing to Queen since, for me. He doesn't rock out as much, but his writing is parrallel in many ways to Freddie's.

To each his/her own, but as far as my opinion's concerned, Rufus Wainwright is the 2nd coming of Freddie.

I agree with you on Rufus, he is rather good. All the others are rather predictable (Beatles, Led Zep ect) Any good NEW bands out there?
