Well, I was not exactly thinking on that.

The live version from Live Killers was FULLY transcribed and also in tab in the the Brian May 'Super Rock Guitarist' book from IMP. It's officially licensed from EMI and released in 1989. Order ref: 14431
ISBN 0-86175-450-6

Don't know if it is still available but worth a try. It has an article on the set-up, sounds, settings and guitars and everything. And also features full guitar-transcribed of WWRY, KYA, BoRHap, Don't stop me now, Now I'm here, Ogre B, TYMD and WATC. (Including more LIve KIllers-versions)

I would love to scan the BR trans for you, Kev, but I would not want to open my book so far because the spine would break...

Cheers, hun ;-)

I can teach people how to do the Brighton Rock technique. I could give tutorials over MSN. Any takers?

The Brighton Rock solo technique is mostly an understanding of musical theory. A good chunk of it could be easily taught over MSN.

I play an Epiphone Les Paul, through a Fender Princeton amp. The distortion is pretty trebly and harsh on a lot of Fender amps, so I have a Marshall Guvnor pedal to smooth it out and give a better sustain.

The tone is similar to Brian's, but I'm not trying to emulate his sound exactly. Where does copying someone else get you? But for playing rock music, Queen stuff in particular, this is the tone for me.

I'm not really in a band, because I don't enjoy creating rock music anymore. These days I'm playing mostly with a friend who's a cellist, and we write a lot of stuff together for acoustic guitar and cello.

First thing... know your major, minor, and pentatonic scales all over the neck.

Let me know if you're this far.
