As long as both are over 18.....no.

The Golden Gate Bridge should have a long bungee cord for people who aren’t quite ready to commit suicide but want to get in a little practice.

However, 18 year olds are far more dependable to make informed, rational decisions about relationships than 16 year olds. The two years does make a big difference. And even if they can't at that point in time, they are adults and they should begin to take responsibility for themselves at this point anyway.

But if one's 18 and the other is 64, that's just plain sad... and wrinkly.

Apparently 90% of the females on QZ would disagree with you. I'll just say this: Roger Taylor...Brian May...Paul McCartney.

For the record, I agree with you.

Well, how old?

He only 3 years older then me.... But when your a teenager age is such a big issue.... And he thinks I'm WAY OLDER then 14.....

First of all, you are a 14-year-old whose internet handle is "Orgasmic Child." Something tells me you might make easy prey for a 17-year-old guy.

If you're Anna Nicole Smith it doesn't. :-P

Personally, I think it does to some extent. I think your partner should at least be your PEER, not someone old enough to be your parent.

***RIGHT ON!!!

With an 11 year old daughter at home, something tells me you need to have your computer taken away and learn to respect yourself a lot more. I'm sure Mom and Dad know all about your internet name, right? Dad must be especially proud.

But then I laugh when you kids get pregnant at 16, drop out of school, and blame the world for your problems. Besides Mom and Dad can always raise your baby, right?

Well, for some reason the difference doesn't matter when you're older (my parents are 42 and 39)

Well Johnny Depp and I are engaged and he's 30 years older than me. I don't see what the big deal is about! What's wrong with a 13 year old girl marrying a 43 year old man?

But seriously, I read an article about this 13 year old girl in Kentucky who's married to a 21 year old man and they have a baby. I think that's pretty sick.

Because you never really know for sure (especially at such a young age) if you're truly in mutually loving relationship or not until either A) it ends (i.e. no) or B) many years down the road when you're still together (i.e. yes). By the way, to any who are wondering...no, ten months is not equivalent to many years down the road.

However, the illusion of love is a very useful tool for older predatory males who like to go for the impressionable young girls.

Or maybe you get lucky and you end up in love, which results in a long, happy marriage.

Who knows? Love's a gamble, anyway. But do you really need to put all your chips on the table at 14?
