I just recently purchased Sheer Heart Attack, and I really really like it, I looooove Stone Cold Crazy, and I love the way Tenement Funster leads into Flick of the Wrist and how Flick of the wrist leads into Lily of the Valley.

While I was listening to Flick of the Wrist, I kind of had an idea of what Freddie was talking about in the song, but I not even gonna bother to even say the word (lol)...but I wanted to ask you guys what is your interpretation of the song? I think most of guys will come to the same conclusion as me ;)

The rest of the songs is about gays/gaysex and aids

Some songs say it all

"Fight from the Inside"

Fight from the inside is the thing that Aids does. When the victim is infected Aids fights the natural defence system from inside. And ofcourse the lyric 'attack from the read' referes to the way how the virus gets infected.

"Coming Soon"

Is about a gay couple who want to make love without a condom using the 'coitus interruptus' technique. That means you take your dick out of the other person without having an orgasm. The 'postman' in this song has is orgasm too soon (coming soon) and that way the 'mailbox' still gets infected.

"Ride the Wild Wind"

It's about the new phenomenon "bare backing" Gay people with aids who have unprotected sex just for the kick of it. And gay people who want to get aids. for the kick. Ride the Wild Wind is all about risking your life for this kick. Wild Wind is of course a metaphor for the orgasm.

It's about managerial problems with the Sheffield Brothers and their management. Basically a precursor to Death On Two Legs.

I actually think its about being jacked off...but the part in the song that I find the most amusing is when the chrous says 'blow him a kiss' I'm like that was really bold to say, especially in 1974.

Jazz78 is correct-Freddie had a few songs about their "relationship" (and loss of money) with the Sheffield Brothers in the mid-70's. I have to believe that FriedChicken is not serious...Fight from the Inside about aids?!!! That song was released in 1977-the term AIDS wasn't even coined for 5 more years! You're just trying to get a rise out of people, right FriedChicken?

Yeah I always saw this song as an early run at the same subject as 'Death on Two Legs'. Perhaps Freddie didn't quite get his point across so he went all-out on the latter ;)

FriedChicken-OK, it's just hard to tell sometimes when somebody's bustin' balls and when some ignoramus thinks they're spouting real infomative crap.

BTW: I admit it, I had to look up the spelling of "igmoramus"-am I now to be included as one?
