I was at the Princeton Flea Market in Wisconsin a few weeks ago. I don't know how many of you have seen the stands set up by Mexicans where they sell clothes, flutes, jewelry and other things like that. Oftentimes, the seller will have a recorded background and a microphone and will be playing a flute or pipes to the music (advertising the CD's they are selling). One of the sellers was playing "Too Much Love will Kill You". I stood there for a second thing "Jeez, this sounds familiar before it hit me what it was. Didn't sound bad...

I heard "Too Much Love Will Kill You" in this resturant while I was in Portugal. Sang by some opera lady, I don't think it was Montserrat Caballé, it didn't sound anything like her. :)

When in Spain i heard AKOM on the coach.
Bohemian Rhapsody in the bar.
And a DREADFUL version of We are the Champions by some family who only actually knew the words "we are the champions.."
That was when my friend said "Hey, it's Queen, you like them!"
"After hearing that.... THEY'VE PUT ME OFF" Argh!

I was getting my hair cut and Crazy Little Thing Called Love came on and I was so excited and the hair dresser was like, "How many inches do you want off, four?" And I was too busy listening to the song and I was just like, "Okay." So now my hair is a lot shorter than I wanted.

In Italy this summer, on my holiday, I heard all this:

An italian tv-commercial, and the jingle was Crazy Little Thing Called Love - re-recorded.

Another tv-commercial: I Want It All - re-recorded.

Then I saw some circus-tv in a random restaurant - song: A Kind of Magic

A little scene right next to our hotel played some of We Will Rock You, We Are The Champions and Radio Ga Ga.

I think there was one more, but I don't remember it.. All that was in just two weeks!
And everytime, I said: "YAY, QUEEN!!!" And started singins along xD My family think I'm nuts B)

I'm going slightly mad

The funniest thing happened when my sister and I were at Lake Compounce for my Mother's Birthday back in July of this year. They had one of those rock and roll spinny rides, and of course they were playing some good music. Waiting on line, they were playing some Queen, but when it was almost our turn, they started playing Kiss. A great band, of course, but not Queen, and I was sorely dissapointed when the music changed to something besides the band my sister and I worship. So when we got on the ride, with the big mouth I have, I requested Queen to be put back on by the kid operating the ride. He was getting off his shift, but took an extra 5 minutes and put his Queen CD back into the player [[much to the chagrin of everyone else, who were very perturbed at the fact that the ride was taking so long to start!!]]. Lo and behold, some good classic Queen came on, and my sister and I were loving life, enjoying a great ride and listening to the best band of all time. It was a fun time to be had. =)

I was in NYC a couple of weeks ago in Chinatown, and a street vendor was selling Queen T-Shirts, very rare!!!...I see Rolling Stones, Beatles, Led Zep, even Pink Floyd shirts all the time, but never Queen!!
